A fantastic mountain experience

Whether you’re a first-time climber looking for a lesson and a complete climbing experience, or a seasoned mountaineer looking for exciting new climbs and adventure - all our resorts offer excellent facilities.

Climbing with an instructor as part of a sociable group is a lot of fun, and what better introduction than on natural rock faces in stunning, wild locations. You will be taught belaying and abseiling techniques, and start with easy climbs to hopefully progress to more technical moves.

Climbing is a strangely addictive sport and promotes excellent fitness. As a good half-day out it is great fun with family and friends and a real mountain experience.

Climbing for kids

Children of all ages as young as 5 can have a play on climbing walls which are free to use in all resorts.

Children (age 8+) years can learn to climb on natural rock faces under the supervision of our hand-picked and climbing schools whose instructors are patient, inspirational and energetic with a true love of their sport. As a rounded experience of the mountains, it’s a hard one to beat.

Climbing Walls

Climbing Walls are a fantastic place to start climbing or to hone your skills. All resorts have an excellent selection of artificial walls with features specifically designed for all levels from outright beginners to the most extreme solo climbers and provide a fun and safe environment to try climbing.

Families and beginners find artificial walls a great place to get a taste of the real thing, and accomplishing a route or traverse is very satisfying and strangely addictive! Walls have colour coded hand and foot holds for different levels, which allow beginners to climb many of the same walls as the experts by following the easier routes.
