Our Active Team

Our alpine hotels are the perfect base to enjoy the mountains. They’re stacked with the latest free-to-use bikes, kids clubs and other sports equipment or spa facilities for those who prefer to kick back and relax. We've then added a team of fun, energetic and creative individuals, (our staff!), to make it all happen.A holiday to the Alps can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be. With more than 80 activities to discover and hundreds of miles of trails you’ll need a local’s knowledge to make the most of it.

Our Active Team is there to make it easier for you and they’re the secret ingredient that makes all happen! A team of fun, energetic and creative individuals who are there to make sure you make the most out of your time in the Alps. They’ll help you book activities, give you an itinerary for a great day out and help you try all the weird and wonderful experiences that are only available to those that know where to go.

Their role

We employ a team of fun and energetic people (our staff!) and they are our ‘Active Team’...They’re a lovely bunch of  mountain-mad individuals who are there to make sure you have a good time - making the most of the Alps and all its activities. They will advise you on which activities are best to do - what to expect, what to wear, how to find them - so you don't waste precious time during your week away.

They will also take bookings and organise transport (if it’s needed); and our Kids Club Leaders are also on hand to keep your children entertained - meeting other youngsters and trying new experiences - in our Active Kids Clubs, for ages 4-12.

A local knowledge

When you arrive, you’ll be met by our Active Staff so that you can start to prepare your week of activities. They have a local knowledge that will help you fast track to the best activities, the best bike trails and walks in the area. They can give you itineraries, Route Cards and things to do for a great day-out. Their tips and advice will save you heaps of time and ensure you make sure you make the most with your time in the mountains.

Kids Club & Childcare Staff

Our Active Kids Clubs are popular with parents as they allow your children to meet new friends whilst enjoying new experiences together. We also organise a Family Fun day each week with organised activities so that families can join in and do things together with their kids.

Our Kids’ Club runs four days a week and allows parents to get a well deserved breather, safe in the knowledge that our Kids Club team have your little ones well entertained and making new friends.

Bike Hosts & Mechanics

Our Bike hosts are important members of our team. They play a vital role in all things involving two-wheels. They will help you orientate yourself around the area, find the best trails and give out Route Cards for suggested rides.

They will also organise social bike rides and family rides during the week, which you can join in from our hotels. Their role is to help you make the most of the area and remain on hand to ensure your bike is professionally maintained and rolling smoothly all week.

My Favourite Day Out

By Lola King

The ‘Fantastical Day Out’: Route card with instructions available from our Active Team.

Take the Super Morzine gondola and the Zorres chairlift. At the top, follow the signposted trails down to Lindarets, on two wheels (or two feet). It’s a great ride or walk (downhill all the way) for coffee at one of the mountain restaurants. Then take the Chaux Fleurie chairlift to the Fantasticable - longest zipwire in Europe.

Ride the zip wire then cycle or walk back down to lake Montriond via the Goat Village, which is a special mountain village with many goats and great for lunch. Carry on down to lake Montriond for sunbathing, wild swimming or kayaking and paddleboarding. If you've got energy left then walk home in an hour or so, or take the free bus - which you may prefer!

"Our Active Team will be there to set you up with all the adventure you can handle."

Please note:

Our Active Team has experienced many of the activities and had training from our activity suppliers. However they are not professional mountain guides, instructors or formally qualified, (except for our bike mechanics and childcare leaders, all of whom hold qualifications). They can provide information and suggestions, but their advice is given in good faith, from literature and not to be relied upon if you have a special need or request. We recommend that you seek additional advice directly from the supplier if you have a special need or a particular question about (for example) fitness and suitability. Our suppliers will visit our chalets and hotels on your arrival day, normally in the early evening to take bookings directly, and answer technical questions. During the week our Active Team will be on hand to take bookings, organise activities and liaise with our French suppliers on your behalf.
