Our Active Team

Our alpine hotels are the perfect base to enjoy the mountains. They’re stacked with the latest free-to-use bikes, kids clubs and other sports equipment or spa facilities for those who prefer to kick back and relax. We've then added a team of fun, energetic and creative individuals, (our staff!), to make it all happen.

Their role

When you arrive, you’ll be met by our Active Team so that you can start to prepare your week of activities. They will also be on hand every day (between 8am and 5pm).

They have an important role to play and are there to book and organise your activities, answer any questions, help you get prepared and wear the right clothing, to book transport (if needed) and dish out great route suggestions and trails maps so you make the most out of the biking and walking.

They also run our Active Kids Clubs and Family Fun days and lay on excursions and activities (to enjoy with other guests) and generally to make sure that you make the most out of your week (or two!) away.

Their local knowledge

Our Active Team has local knowledge that will help you fast track to the best activities, bike trails and walks in resort. They can give you route maps and suggest itineraries and things to do for a great day-out. Tips and advice that will save you heaps of time and make sure you get the most out of your time in the Alps!

One of our favourite days out (2020)

The ‘Fantastical Day Out’: Route card with instructions available from our Active Team.

Activities on route: Ride the chairlifts to the top, follow the signposted tracks and trails on two wheels (or two feet) to Lindarets for coffee at a mountain restaurant; try the Fantasticable (longest zipwire in Europe), stop for lunch at the Goat Village (mountain village with many goats); carry on walking or biking down to finish at lake Montriond for sunbathing, wild swimming or kayaking and paddleboarding. If you’ve energy left then you can walk home in an hour or so, but we often take the free shuttle bus after all of that!

"Our Active Team will be there to set you up with all the adventure you can handle."

Please note:

Our Active Team has experienced many of the activities and had training from our activity suppliers. However they are not professional mountain guides, instructors or formally qualified, (except for our bike mechanics and childcare leaders, all of whom hold qualifications). They can provide information and suggestions, but their advice is given in good faith, from literature and not to be relied upon if you have a special need or request. We recommend that you seek additional advice directly from the supplier if you have a special need or a particular question about (for example) fitness and suitability. Our suppliers will visit our chalets and hotels on your arrival day, normally in the early evening to take bookings directly, and answer technical questions. During the week our Active Team will be on hand to take bookings, organise activities and liaise with our French suppliers on your behalf.
