About Chalet Petit - Philibert

The Chalet Petit-Philibert is a beautiful Savoyard chalet built in local wood and stone and enjoys panoramic views of the mountains of Avoriaz and the ski slopes of Le Pleney in the distance. It’s also run exclusively by us and perfect for skiing groups of friends or family looking for a charming chalet with high-quality facilities on tap.

It enjoys a privileged location, just 5 minutes’ walk (about 450m) to the resort centre and the best bars and shops in town. For skiing, it’s a quick 5 minute shuttle from outside the chalet (50 metres to the bus stop) to the main lifts and slopes for ski school, or exploring the best skiing that the Portes du Soleil has to offer.

Guests can enjoy the chalet’s excellent facilities which are shared with the hotel; including sauna, Jacuzzi and an outdoor heated pool which is great in the winter and enjoys views of Le Pleney.

The chalet benefits from access to the hotel’s comfy-lounge and bar which offer a beautifully rustic atmosphere and the all-important apres-ski happy hour. You get all the benefits of a hotel, but in your own private chalet.

With access to the hotels’ outdoor heated swimming pool, (great for a winter dip!) and sauna and hot tub, this is a unique opportunity to enjoy hotel facilities from your own private chalet. The chalet enjoys an elevated position just above the centre of town and enables guests to get to the best bars and restaurants in an easy 5 minute walk.

The Super Morzine gondola is about 1 mile away, but you’ll find it easier to take the free resort ski bus which stops very regularly by the chalet, (about 50m away). The ski bus will whisk you down to Le Pleney or Super Morzine ski area within 5 minutes.

Or you can take the bus in the other direction to the main Avoriaz gondola (Les Prodains) in about 7 or 8 minutes. The chalet’s central location allows easy access to both ski areas (Morzine and Avoriaz) so you have a choice of where to ski each day which is a rare convenience in Morzine.

Eat, drink and go skiing

A good day on the mountains starts with one very important meal. To kick off your day, we serve a daily breakfast with hot options on most days to set you up for all the snow you can handle.

Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon and our delicious three-course meals with unlimited wine until dessert are served six nights a week, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants for staff's night off.

  • Continental breakfast (7 days) with hot options (4 days)
  • Afternoon tea, coffee & hot chocolate with freshly baked cakes (6 days)
  • Three course dinners & wine, unlimited until dessert, (6 nights)*
  • Special celebration menus at Christmas & New Year
  • Meals are served in Hotel Philibert next door

About Morzine

The area covers 12 towns or villages, the huge range of skiing across France and Switzerland is all covered by the same liftpass pass, making for incredible value.

With so much skiing and snowboarding on offer this is certainly a resort that will can keep turning up untried areas the whole week long!

Book Smart and Save Money

Get 'On the Snow' Faster With Us

If you pre-book your ski extras with us then our ‘On the Snow’ service will help you get started in resort. We can save you two very precious things - money and time - if you pre-book the holy trinity of ski passes, hire and lessons early with us. After all, the mountains are too much fun to waste time queuing for lift passes or traipsing around resort looking for the best deal for ski hire.

Once you arrive with us, our ‘On the Snow’ team of reps will collect pre-booked lift passes for you and deliver them to the breakfast table on your first morning. They will also do their best to fast-track you through the ski shops and get you on the mountain as quickly and easily as they possibly can.

Ski and Board Hire

Unless you own your own skis or board, then you’re going to need to rent some. Nowadays the standard of rental skis is very good and we only work with the best suppliers.

Lift Passes

We also recommend that you pre-book your lift pass through us as well. This way we can bring your lift pass to the breakfast table on your first morning before you head out.

Ski/Board Lessons

Again, we always recommend pre-booking lessons to guarantee availability. We can book you into group lessons for all levels of skier and boarder – beginner to expert.

Price Match Promise

If you do find a better price for your skis and board hire elsewhere, (so long as it’s the same quality), then let us know and we guarantee we will not only match it, but we’ll beat it too!
