See Something New With a Day Trip in the Alps

As benefits Europe’s largest mountain town and probably the World’s most famous destination for alpine enthusiasts, Chamonix is a vibrant town steeped in mountaineering lore. It sits under the shadow of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain, which only adds further interest and mystique to a resort which never fails to offer a truly exciting holiday experience.

There is as much to do for families and sight see-ers as for active sports enthusiasts!

About the Walking

The lift system is open to walkers, allowing you to discover miles of terrain - but avoiding any hard climbs (if you prefer!). The Mont Blanc range offers walkers and hikers stunning alpine scenery, with some of the best walking and climbing in Europe for all levels. The vast choice of gentle and moderate routes are clearly marked and noted on our free trail maps. Glacier walks with crampons and ice axes are very popular, and for all abilities.

Via Ferrata are also very popular in Cham’: set walking routes which use aids such as ladders, pegs and ropes to help the walker along. The variety of terrain means walking can be as easy or extreme as you like, taking in plenty of sunshine and mountain restaurants.

Over 80 Activities To Try!

Our Holidays come with more than enough free activities for your week included in our ‘Free Active Packs’ (which are worth up to £355).

You can try even more activities once in resort. Some may carry a small cost and not all activities are available in all resorts.
