Guided mountain biking

Now Free with all holidays to Morzine, Les Gets and Val D’Isere.

Get the most out of the Alps with our guided mountain bike programme. Our Pro Guides have a 'locals-only' knowledge of trails that will have you grinning from ear to ear, whatever your level!

Our Guided Rides

New for 2017 is the chance to join our guided mountain bike rides (intermediate to advanced) with professional guides, which are now free with all holidays to Morzine, Les Gets and Val D’Isere. Guided rides are run in sociable groups for half day sessions.

They will give you an insight into the REAL mountain terrain, discovering valley floor river routes or high altitude trail riding with a local guide. This session is an absolute MUST for any aspiring riders or serious bikers, and offers a great introduction to the real world of MTB and using the lifts* for high-route trail riding. This experience suits competent riders and will surely whet your appetite for more.

Guiding Groups

Group sessions will run all week in half day slots (3-4 hours) for 8-12 riders a time. It is recommended that you are comfortable riding dirt trails on a hard tail bike before taking part in our guided rides. Some groups may have mixed abilities of rider but we will do the best to accommodate differing levels where we can.

  • One Free half-day session
  • Professional mountain guides
  • Groups of 8-12
  • A variety of abilities
  • Ideal bike: full suspension (rent one from £25/day)
  • To take part: We recommend you are comfortable at trail riding

The Lowdown

We recommend hiring a Pro-Bike (full suspension) for one day if you would like to make the most from the riding. *Not all guided groups will use the lifts. In Morzine and Les Gets a lift pass is from €5 extra

The ideal bike upgrade!

If you are intent on making the most of our mountain bike programme and/or are an Intermediate level rider joining a guided ride from group level 2 or 3, then we would recommend you rent one of our full suspension Pro bikes for the day, such as the Specialized Enduro Evo or Camber. We are offering an early booking (guest only) discount of up to 20% off our standard bike hire prices. Your bike will be maintained all week by our mechanics, wear tear parts included, see terms. Not available for half day hire.

Improve Your Riding Skills

The guides we use are all expert and semi-professional or certified riders, all of whom will impart their technical skills and knowledge onto any of our guests if you decide that you would like to really progress your riding skills. Riding the Alps with a guide is crucial if you would like to gain a true insight into the real potential of any resort, benefit from a local knowledge and substantially improve your riding. Riding without a guide you will miss out on so much of the natural and REAL bike terrain that is hidden from public view. Your guide will introduce you to all the hidden secret spots that only a local knows, and fast-track you to the best riding for your ability.

Independent Riding

You are welcome to go and explore the local terrain yourself, but we would always advise that you ride with at least one other person and inform our staff of your intended route and ETA.
