Summer Ski & Active Holidays

Skiing and snowboarding in summer is a real novelty and can be just as good as the winter... especially up in Tignes!

The Grande Motte (3550m) is one of Europe’s highest skiable Glaciers. It offers the best summer ski conditions in Europe. After a full morning of skiing (8am-1pm) try something different at resort level, there's so much to choose from and most of it's free to do!

Ski and board in the morning...

Tignes boasts one of the finest ski-able glaciers in the world. It opens between June and early August from 7.30am to 1pm so you can get a full morning before a well earned lunch at altitude.

Expect good quality, hard-packed snow in the morning which warms and softens nicely through the day; the conditions are quite easy to ski and snowboard on, and fresh falls of snow are regular through the summer.

It offers up to 27kms of slopes for all abilities, and varying in grade from blue to red. There is a snow park with jumps and often a half pipe that will keep everyone happy! Liftpass, ski and board hire or lessons can easily be booked on arrival in resort with an Alpine Elements Active Rep.

Skiers and boarders can pack a lot into their day with a ski in the morning and a fun-filled resort activity in the afternoon such as tennis, biking, rafting, walking or just sunbathing!
