Tignes Nautical Base

All our guests enjoy a free session of Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking or Pedalo at the Nautical Base on the large lake in Tignes Le Lac. It’s included on your MyTignes pass, part of our Active Packs, and makes for a brilliant afternoon in central Tignes.

While you’re there, you can also make use of other free activities on the MyTignes pass — including mountain lifts for biking and walking, trampolining, shooting, and access to the leisure centre.

Getting to Le Lac is easy — simply hop on the free resort shuttle from Les Brévières.

You can choose kayaking instead of SUP, and even switch between the two during quieter periods. The base offers solo and two-person sit-on-top kayaks, perfect for exploring the calm, scenic lake. Suitable for all ages from 4+, even if the youngest paddlers are just passengers, they require no special skills.

Before heading out, the activity centre provides a safety briefing and quick lessons on kayak handling and paddle techniques. With guidance on hand, you’ll be ready to enjoy a relaxing and fun session on the sparkling waters of Tignes Lake.

For a different perspective, try a pedalo instead of kayaking or SUP and explore the lake at a leisurely pace. Pedalos are fun, relaxing, and guaranteed to bring smiles all round. Choose from a range of craft, accommodating 2 to 4 people, perfect for families or friends.

You can choose to take out a pedalo instead of kayaking or SUP and explore Tignes’ lake from a different perspective. Pedalo are a lot of fun, very relaxing, and guarantee smiles all round. Choose from a variety of craft, from 2 to 4 persons.

Make a Great Day Out

The Nautical Base is the perfect spot for a full day of fun when combined with other nearby activities, or a walk or bike ride using the mountain lifts — all free with your MyTignes pass, included in our Active Packs.

For a great itinerary, we recommend starting the morning with an Altitude Experience (funicular access is included on the MyTignes pass) before heading to the Nautical Base in the afternoon. Just next door is Acroland, featuring giant slides that send you plunging into the lake — guaranteed fun for all ages!

Getting there

The Nautical Base is located in Tignes Le Lac. From Les Brévières, take the free resort shuttle (included on your MyTignes pass), which runs every 30 minutes and stops a 5-minute walk from our hotel.

Alight at the tourist office in Le Lac, then walk past the Toviere Cable Car, following the path past the tennis courts to the Nautical Base at the far left corner of the lake, next to the Giant Slide (Acroland).
