Your home for the week

Not only has the Charmant had a fresh facelift for the 2025/26 ski season, but it’s a sensibly priced chalet with the premium facilities of a hot tub, a sauna and an almost ski-from-door location. So understandably the Charmant is in strong demand!

The Charmant can sleep twelve people over five bedrooms, but it’s really best for ten. It suits groups that know each other and if you wish to use the 11th and 12th beds, then we give a decent group discount or free spaces.

Charmant is a true ‘skiers chalet’ as it places you at the heart of the action, with an almost slopeside location in the high altitude Plagnes Villages, you can make the most of the excellent Paradiski. Simply clip-in, and pole over to our Chalet Panoramique (50m away) and join the ski tracks that lead to the green slopes and onward lift connections. Complete beginners will prefer to walk up to the main nursery slopes and ski schools (where the shops and bars are located) via the steps to the carpark above the chalet. It’s about a 3 to 4 min’ walk.

The chalet has a sauna and boot warmers downstairs, and a hot tub on the sundeck with amazing valley views; and of the ski slopes in the distance. Inside is a cosy, open plan living area with comfy sofas, board games and a log burner to look forward to on your return from the slopes. After skiing, relax with a slice (or two) of freshly made cake for afternoon tea before tucking in to a three course meal and wine that our chalet host will prepare for you.

Bedrooms... take your pick

• Bedroom 1: Twin en-suite bath, shower, sink, WC
• Bedroom 2: Twin en-suite shower, sink, WC
• Bedroom 3: Twin/Triple (3 single beds) en-suite shower, sink, WC
• Bedroom 4: Twin en-suite bath, shower, sink, WC
• Bedroom 5: Twin/Triple (3 single beds) en-suite shower, sink, WC

Chalet Charmant has 5 en-suite bedrooms with beds for 12 guests, but we think it’s best for 10. For this reason you can get group discounts & free spaces for filling the 11th & 12th beds, if booking the chalet privately. The chalet is laid out over 3 floors. The middle floor has an open plan lounge-dining room with a central kitchen and a log burning fire. There’s a hot tub on the balcony which has panoramic views of the valley and ski slopes. Downstairs is a sauna and ski room with boot warmers. Most rooms can fit a cot. Parking is free outside the chalet.

Location

Located near to the slopes of the popular Plagne Village (2020m), you can pretty much ski-from-door (with a little poling) and be enjoying the best slopes in the Paradiski within minutes.

In the morning, simply clip-in to your skis right outside the chalet (in normal snow conditions) and pole along to our Chalet Panoramique (50m away) where you can pick up the ski tracks that quickly connect to the main piste - which is a green run - that goes straight to the Bergerie or Melezes chairlifts. Complete beginners will prefer to walk up to the main nursery slopes and ski schools (where the shops and bars are located) via the steps to the carpark above the chalet. It’s about a 3 to 4 min’ walk, (about 200 metres away)

After skiing, most abilities will be able to ‘ski-and-pole’ back to within about 150 to 200m of the chalet via the car park located above the chalet. This can be done in normal snow conditions.

Plagne Villages has a small centre which is by the nursery slopes (3 min’ walk) and has a couple of restaurants, shops, apres-ski bars and a lively bar for the late night crowd. The Telebus ski lift is also close by (2-3 min’ walk) and will connect you with Plagne Centre for more shops and bars. It runs until late, (around midnight).

If you’d like more shops to browse, then it’s nice to pop down to Plagne Centre every once in a while. Fortunately, the Telebus ski lift is about 100m from the chalet and will take you there in minutes. The last return is around midnight.

About La Plagne

La Plagne and the Paradiski make up the 4th largest ski area in France and it’s as snow sure as they come! It has two glaciers for skiing at Plagne Bellecôte (3250m) and the Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs (3226m). Try the 7 Km long run down from the top of the Aguille Rouge or explore the peaks of La Plagne, where you’ll find a seemingly endless supply of powder-snow, and some of the best (and longest) descents in France.

You will find lots of long runs for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders with a seemingly endless supply of powdery off-piste and some of the longest descents in France..

Plagne Villages (2052m) is one of the prettiest satellites in the area, you are never far from a ski slope and it is easy to ski from the door of our chalets. The ski school meeting points are close by and the Telebus lift (about 100m from our chalets) will connect you to Plagne Centre if you want more action. If ski convenience is high on your agenda, you’ll certainly like it here!
