Canyoning, Tignes

Warning - Canyoning is seriously addictive!

Rather like Coasteering, but a lot more fun! Canyoning is a fun and technical sporting activity that combines the art of hiking, climbing, abseiling, jumping (into rock pools) or rappelling to the bottom of a river canyon with waterfalls and white water slides along the way. Your diligent instructor and guide shows you how it’s done and it is  also a great bonding experience to enjoy with our other guests.

Canyoning, Tignes

  • 3hrs activity time (Allow half day +)
  • Family course Age 10+
  • Adult course Age 14+
  • €66 Adults/teens

This is a great Canyon route for all ages: we have a Family Discovery Route (age 10+) and a Teen and Adult Adventure route (age 14+).

The Activity takes place in group sizes of 8, near Bozel, so you will be transferred to the activity by coach or minibus straight from the door of our Hotel in Tignes Les Brevieres.

Once at the centre, you will be kitted out with wetsuits, harnesses and helmets before your safety briefing. It is a great experience with other guests and really bonds everyone together with teamwork and an emphasis on fun and adventure. A unique and unforgettable ‘must-do’ activity to experience in the Alps.Expect 2Hrs on water, 3Hrs at the centre and a 45min transfer.

Expect 3 hours activity time and a 45min drive to the centre. It’s perfect for self drives but we can include transport for €33pp extra.

Participation conditions

  • Children are welcome from 10 years old, no previous experience required
  • All participants must be in a good physical condition
  • An adult must be able to accompany the children
  • All participants must know how to swim at least 25m and be able to submerge their heads a few seconds underwater
  • Wear normal clothes to the centre. All equipment (wetsuits, helmets) provided
  • Bring a towel and payment for snack bar. And your packed lunch from the hotel
  • Transport provided to the activity
  • We will need a minimum number of participants to run the activity, normally 7-8. But we dont usually have any issues with takeup and paticipant numbers for Canyoning!

Getting there

The Nautic base of Doron is in Bozel, about a 40min drive from our hotel in Tignes Les Brévières. Easy for Self Drives but we will provide transport to and from our hotel in Brévières to the Nautical base for everyone else.

Enjoy the journey!

You'll be setting off for the day in the direction of Bonneval sur Arc. You'll pass over the Col de l'Isèran, the highest pass in Europe that can be crossed! Yes, this canyon is located at altitude, which makes for a refreshing and unique experience! You will be transferred to the activity by coach or minibus straight from our Hotel in Brevieres.
