Chalet Meilleur

Meribel
6 NIGHTS CATERING6 ensuite Rooms

The Meilleur is one of our favourite chalets. Freshly revamped for the 2023 ski season, this beautifully appointed ski chalet has plenty of charm and a location to die for. In fact, we think it’s one of the best locations in Méribel… just 2 mins’ from the Morel lifts, slopes and bars… and only 5 mins from the start of the shops and bars of Méribel centre, so you won’t need a shuttle bus all week!

Your home for the week

Chalet Meilleur is a very charming ski chalet for twelve. This gorgeous property is less than a 2 min’ walk to the ski lifts and slopes of Morel (the original centre of Méribel) and another minute’s walk brings you to the ski shops and bars of Morel.

You can almost ski back to the door, (or within 50-70m) so there’s no need for shuttle buses, which is a rarity for any Méribel ski chalet. And the shops and bars of Méribel centre start within a 5-6 min’ walk from the chalet front door. One of the most famous - and oldest - restaurants in Méribel (ex Chez Ki Ki) is almost next door to the chalet, which is great for staff night off and some of the best steaks and modern cuisine in town.

Morel is just above Méribel centre and enjoys great views of the ski slopes. It has a number of shops and bars with a more relaxed atmosphere than Méribel centre, but still enjoys quick access to town if you want more variety and a greater range of apres-ski.

The best bit is the quick-and-easy access to skiing, which suits all levels, so you don't need a shuttle bus to get around. Just zip up the Morel chairlift by the chalet and you’ll find a green run linking you to the Chaudanne and also to the Altiport for ski school and wider 3 Valleys connections. It has a great home run, almost back to the door of the chalet and requires a short but well used detour off the Hulotte piste (a green/blue run), following the ski tracks. This route suits most skiers (not complete beginners) but if you miss the turn-off - the walk from the bottom of the Hulotte is only 150 to 200 metres.

Meilleur is a delightfully atmospheric ski chalet with lots of Alpine charm and quirky little features that we’re rather fond of. The chalet manages to tastefully blend the old and the new - with a large open fireplace, lovely wooden beams and vaulted ceilings - to create a lovely atmosphere around the dinner table.

Our MD’s view

With an almost ski-to-door location, we think the Meilleur is a hard chalet to beat. It may not have a hot tub, but earns its diamond rating for its million-dollar location.

Everything you need for a great week away with family and friends. Boot dryer/warmer and ski room downstairs with washing machine.
