Val D'Isere Activities

Val D’Isere is in the southern French Alps, next door to Tignes, and proud to be one of the World’s ritziest alpine towns which exudes plenty of charm and style. Coupled with a large dose of southern alpine sun shine it’s sure to tempt you away from the beach with activities aplenty to keep you all entertained!

As one of the most famous resorts in the World, Val’ offers a resort experience like no other: the perfect blend of action, culture and relaxation to appeal to all ages and tastes. It’s chalet-style architecture and great variety of bars, cafes and boutique shops are perfectly nestled in amongst gorgeous alpine scenery.

Electric Cars

After announcing the retirement of the 4X4 show and the replacement electric car show to debut next summer, Val d'Isere is taking its green image one step further with a fleet of electric cars to be available throughout the resort.

Skate Park

Skate parks are open for all ages of bikers, scooters and skateboarders. Quarter pipe, ramps, fun boxes and rails.

Table Tennis

Test your reflexes in a table tennis competition in the Manchet Valley sports area

Quad Biking

Hydrospeeding

An alternative to White Water rafting, but riders descend the rapids on a beefed up body board, rather like a floating toboggan! You can learn to surf the swells, ride the rocks and perform 360 spins! From €35. Allow half a day.

Canoeing

Free for all guests, in all resorts (except Val D'Isere) is a session of kayaking or Paddleboarding on our beautiful mountain lakes. Explore these tranquil lakes with their breath taking scenery - an activity ideally suited to all ages with our easy to use and stable ‘sit-on-top’ kayaks.

Summer Ski

Tignes has Europe's highest and best summer glacier for skiing and boarding - open from June to mid August. Beginner lessons are available. Liftpassfr €29 p/day. Val D'Isere guests will need to get a taxi (from €10-20)

Canyoning

A seriously ADDICTIVE sport! Available fin all resorts, this is the art of hiking, climbing, scrambling or rappelling oneself to the bottom of a river canyon, with water falls, slides and big rock pools along the way. Kind of like Coasteering, but much better! From €50. Allow half a day.

Via Ferrata

A popular variation on climbing, Via Ferrata are high mountain routes with fixed climbing aids: wire ropes, rungs, pegs, ladders, and bridges. Led by an instructor this is a very unique way to experience the Alps! From €45. Allow half a day.

Rock Climbing with an instructor is also popular. Kids and adults absolutely love it and you can even learn abseiling techniques. Climbing is very addictive. Most resorts have FREE Climbing walls. From €35. Allow half a day.

Aquasportif Centre

Enjoy FREE access on our Multi pass to the outdoor pools and/or leisure centers in all resorts. Expect giant slides, kids games, bouncy castles, and even a beach area for sunbathing!

Biathlon Laser

Safer version of air rifle shooting; you shoot a laser beam at a taget instead. Tests your reflexes!

Archery

Archery is fun for all the family. With professional coaching it's amazing how quick you can pick it up. As a FREE activity in Val d'isere and Tignes, or small cost in other resorts it's very popular with guests and a big hit for our Teen Clubs.

This is a free activity offered to Val d'Ise guests with their activity pass. and is located in Manchet Valley.

Badminton

The modern sports centre in Val d'Isere has a multi-activity sports hall where you can play badminton.

Electric Biking

Imagine mountain biking where going uphill is just as fun as going down! E-bikes are designed for everyone, not just competent riders!

Volleyball

There is nothing such as a challenge with your friends to keep up team spirit. Go to Aquasportif to organize a match!

Slackline

Test your balance while walking barefoot on a wire stretched between two trees or two posts.

Horse Riding

Guided pony treks offer wonderfully scenic tours of the mountains, and basic instruction where required. There is an equestrian centre in most of our alpine resorts that will offer mountain rides through stunning alpine scenery. 1 hour to 3 hour run time, beginner rides and adult hacks with instruction.
