It is important to us that you are completely confident in booking your ski holiday. Remember that we are fully bonded and if we have to cancel your holiday due to Covid you will always get your money back.

Furthermore, if you have symptoms of Covid, or have been asked to self-isolate, quarantine, or your local area goes into lockdown, then you can amend your holiday for free*, up until 7 days before departure. 

In addition, should you wish to cancel your holiday, then you can do so for a full refund (minus our standard deposit) up until 42 days before departure, instead of our usual 84 days.

Free Amendments

Many of our guests are wanting to make use of our October early bird offers, yet have the confidence they can amend their holiday or rebook if need be. So, we have developed our Free Amendments policy, which will be offered to all bookings made during October - to give you the peace of mind to book before prices go up!

How our policy works:

  1. If you have symptoms of Covid, or have been asked to self-isolate, or your local area goes into lockdown; or if you need to quarantine on your return - then you can amend your dates / destination for free*, between 7 and 14 days before departure. 

  2. There will be no amendment fee to change the dates or destination of your holiday charter flights, accommodation/services, catering services, ski extras (like lift pass and ski hire) and transfers. 

  3. If you are flying scheduled airlines (like Easyjet) an amendment fee may apply to the flight itself, (payable to the airline), in order to change your flights. 

  4. If you choose to change dates and your new holiday is a higher cost you will pay the difference; if it is a lower cost then we will refund the difference.

  5. This policy will automatically be added to your booking, so you don't need to do anything more than reserve your holiday with us, before October 30th.

Our Cancellation Policy: 
Refund Guarantee

Many of our guests are wanting to make use of our holiday offers which end soon, yet to have the confidence they can cancel if need be. So, our Refund Guarantee is now offered on all bookings until October 30th

How the policy works:

  1. You get all the benefits of our Free Amendments policy (as above) where you can change dates / destination for free* if you have symptoms of Covid, or have been asked to self-isolate; or your local area goes into lockdown or even if you need to quarantine on your return between 7 and 14 days before departure.

  2. In addition, you can cancel your holiday for a full refund, less our standard deposit (£175pp) only 42 days before departure, instead of 84 days. 

  3. If the FCDO travel advice changes within 7 days prior to departure or we have to cancel your holiday due to Covid, we guarantee a full refund of your holiday, including all deposits.

  4. Refunds are paid back to you within 7 to 14 days and include all monies paid to Alpine Elements for your flights, accommodation and services, transfers, catering, and any ski extras bought through us (like lift pass/ski hire). 

  5. All holidays are secured with an enhanced 50% deposit to make use of this scheme. Remaining balances are payable 42 days before departure, instead of our usual 12 weeks before departure.

  6. Refunds which will be paid back to your group  leader’s bank account within 7 to 14 days of receiving your notification to cancel and proof if required. Notice can be sent by email admin@alpineelements.co.uk

*Terms for Free Amendments

You can make changes for free within 7 and 14 days, specifically for the Covid-19 situation so any reasons for your ‘free amendments’ must be due to the ongoing Covid situation, such as:

  1. You have an inability to travel due to symptoms of Covid-19*

  2. If you need for quarantine on your return

  3. If you are required to take a period of self confinement which interferes with your departure date

  4. If your local area goes into lockdown and you are prevented from travelling

There will be no amendment fee to change the dates or destination of your holiday accommodation/services, charter flights, catering services, ski extras (like lift pass) and transfers. If you are flying scheduled airlines (like Easyjet) an amendment fee may apply to the flight itself, in order to change your flights.

If you choose to change dates and your new holiday is a higher cost you will pay the difference, if it is a lower cost then we will refund the difference.

This guarantee is only for customers who book between October 1st and 30th, 2020, to give you peace of mind to book at our early bird prices.

This policy covers the affected person, and not those on the same booking who may be unaffected.

All cancellations and amendments must be made in writing to Alpine Elements / iGO SKi head office (or emailed to admin@alpineelements.co.uk)

To qualify, all remaining holiday balances must be paid on time, by the due date.


*Terms for Refund Guarantee

Our Refund Guarantee is specifically for the Covid-19 situation so any reasons for your cancellation must be due to the ongoing Covid situation.

Reasons for cancellation can include:

  1. Restrictions in travel by the FCO

  2. Your destination resort not being open*

  3. Your inability to travel due to symptoms of Covid-19**

  4. If you need to quarantine on your return

  5. if you are required to take a period of self confinement which interferes with your departure date

 

Your refund will include:

Refunds for holidays will include a full refund for the holiday, including charter flights, your accommodation and services, transfers, catering, and ski extras (like lift pass) bought through us.

For EasyJet flights: in some cases we may retain the cost of your flights and give you  your reference numbers to rebook / change your own flights to another date (directly with EasyJet). EasyJet may charge an amendment fee.

Refunds will be paid back to group leaders within 7 to 14 days of receiving your notification and any proof required, (such as doctor’s note)

This policy covers the affected person, and not those on the same booking who may be unaffected.

If your group size reduces through individual cancellations, you may have to pay a supplement to stay in your chalet.;


*You may be asked to provide a doctor’s note to confirm that your symptoms indicate infection of Covid-19. Or proof of confinement such as the track and trace system.

**The destination resort is your main destination resort and does not include neighbouring or ‘connecting’ resorts making up the same ski area.
