Coronavirus Travel Advice
Updated on August 14th
Summer 2020 has landed!
It’s been a long journey as our set up teams have been working tirelessly to make sure we can reopen safely and run a full activity programme for our guests. We cannot think of any place we would rather be than the wide, open spaces of the French Alps - with its fresh air, glorious sunshine and panoramic views - which are best enjoyed mask-free!
The Alps are also a popular choice for self-drives or those of you preferring a shorter flight, (1 hour 10 mins) and an equally short transfer to the resort. When you arrive, our staff are waiting in earnest to help you enjoy our beautiful region safely. We’ve been waiting a long time to do what we’re so good at - and that’s creating unforgettable holidays for you! If you haven't already booked then don’t wait for too long; we have limited availability and spaces are filling fast!

Latest Travel Information
We are delighted to say that we are open at our Akti Beach and Akti Palace Beach Clubs in Kos, Greece.
Our first priority is safety and we have reworked our programme to operate safe distancing with a general capacity reduction where needed and robust new cleaning standards. We have also worked closely with our activity suppliers to implement strict new guidelines and safety features to ensure the safe delivery of activities for all ages. For further information see our Opening Plan below.
Flights
For your safety, everyone in the airport, on board the aircraft and on our transfers will be required to wear a mask at all times and adhere to the current safe distance rules. Movement on board should be kept to a minimum and hands disinfected regularly using dispensers provided. We ask all guests to bring their own mask and we recommend you carry a personal bottle of hand sanitiser. Airport and airline staff are all required to wear masks and there will be more rigorous cleaning at the airport and on board.
Pre-Flight Forms
Before you travel, we will need to ensure that you have completed a mandatory Health Declaration Form which you can print and send to us prior to departure. This is for all our destinations in France and Greece. If you are traveling to Greece, you will need to fill out the online Passenger Locator Form, which must be completed 48 hours prior to departure, by each person aged 18 years and over. This will provide you with a mobile phone QR code which you will need to present on arrival in Greece. You will not be able to travel without completing these forms in advance.
Transfers
Private coaches are used for transfers between the airport and resort. On occasions we may use other tour operators coaches or minibuses. It will be necessary to wear a mask and there will always be an Alpine Elements representative at the airport to assist you.
Passports
For holders of British or EU citizen passports, no visas are required for visiting any of the European countries featured in our brochure. For British Citizens, adults require a ten year British passport for all the countries we operate to and children a five year British passport. You should have at least 6 months left on your passport from your date of arrival. This applies to adult and child passports. For more information, visit www.gov.uk/browse/abroad/passports.
It is the group leader’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the party are in possession of all travel and other documents necessary for your holiday. Further information can be found on www.gov.uk
Will my holiday be cancelled if i haven't paid my balance
We have significantly reduced our cancellation terms and our balance due date to give you more time to consider your travel plans. By not paying your final balance then you will forfeit your deposit and any other charges (albethey reduced) under our new-and-relaxed terms and conditions.

My holiday has been cancelled, can I reschedule to another date?
If your holiday has been cancelled, you will have the option to reschedule your holiday to 2021, and we will give you a further 10% discount on all 2021 prices (online now) if you can reschedule before September 30th. We hope this gives you a little more time to think about your future travel plans; but like all good things - this offer may be withdrawn sooner if our available capacity is being used up.
If you do not wish to reschedule your holiday we will issue a Refund Credit Note (RCN) which holds all of your money in a credit note protected by ABTA/ATOL, until we refund you. My holiday has not been cancelled. I am uncertain about travelling, can I reschedule to another date?
No, you will not have the option to reschedule your holiday to 2021 because holidays are still running. However we have significantly relaxed our cancellation terms should you wish to cancel.
How can I reschedule my holiday?
If you are eligible to reschedule your holiday, you may change to another date in 2021; or you can change to a ski holiday this winter! Not only that, but we’ll even give you a gift of a 10% discount to use on your new holiday to help push things along!
When rescheduling, you can make changes to the date, passenger names, resort, and chalet or hotel. If you choose a holiday that’s cheaper than the one you originally booked, you’ll pay the lower amount. If you choose a holiday that’s more expensive, you’ll need to pay the difference in price. You can even change your summer holiday to a winter ski holiday.
For customers with EasyJet flights an amendment fee may, (or may not), apply. Our sales team will make you fully aware of this on rebooking, so you have the choice to continue or not
