Summer 2020 Opening Plan

Get away to the Alps at Summer!

The mountains should always remain a place of freedom and relaxation and our guests for this summer are very excited about visiting this beautiful, tranquil region and taking part in a variety of outdoor activities which offer safe distancing and promise a heap of fun for the family!

We are constantly monitoring the situation and are keen to welcome tourists to the french alp’s wide, open spaces when we can. Of course, you’ll need to take some precautions and to wear facemasks at certain touch points, but the panoramic views are all mask free!

Opening Plan

We have introduced a plan to open our chalets and hotels and our staff have been busy for months making plans and preparations to make it a safe and special holiday for those fortunate enough to be able to travel.

Yes, there will be some changes - though none that will significantly impact your holiday - and in fact, we think the changes will only make it better!

Spaces are limited, so email or call us if you would like a quote

Overview

The Alps are vast and waiting to be explored, so the majority of activities and lifts will run close to normal. In our properties, there will be a general capacity restriction, with special focus on transfer coaches, mealtime planning, public areas (lounges), use of leisure facilities and activities planning so you can still enjoy the mountain and all it offers.

Our staff will be rigorously retrained to implement robust new cleaning standards and hotels and chalets will offer the best possible protection against infections during these times.

Hotels and Chalets

Our hotel and chalet capacities will be reduced, (unless a chalet is privately booked), and our experienced staff will help maintain the highest standards in catering and cleanliness.

Hotel restaurant and lounge planning will enable us to limit the number of guests in bars and restaurants at any one time by running a multiple of sittings. Tables will not be shared by separate bookings and be set at a distance of 1 to 2 metres apart, in line with French Govt guidelines.

Comprehensive new cleaning practices are to be implemented to provide the best possible protection for our guests, with facemasks for our staff and a good supply of antibacterial gels throughout our properties. All practices will be strictly in line with the new guidance from the French Govt.

Activities

Enjoying energising activities in fresh mountain air is what it’s all about in the Alps! A particular benefit of our activities is that they all take place outside, in secluded mountain regions and are led by conscientious instructors and guides who will reduce group sizes and practice safe distancing rules. They will also provide protective equipment (masks/gloves) where necessary, particularly on any sharted transport.

Certain activities may require ‘closer contact’ or a partner, and these can often be organised so that you are teamed up with members from your own ‘Booking Bubble’. That is, your fellow travellers or family members from the same holiday booking. Read more on how our activities will run.

How our Activities will run

Playing safe

We expect all our guests to practice safe distancing and make their own judgement as to whether they are comfortable with certain activities and situations, before taking part. If you are not, and you have prepaid for the activity then a refund or an alternative will be provided where possible.

We will expect you to provide your own PPE for the week, and to take responsibility for its use. Although our third party activity providers and our hotel staff will monitor distancing rules it is your responsibility to ensure that you adhere and take all precautions to remain safe. You must understand the risks involved and that accidental contact / infringement of the distancing rules can happen at any time, even with the best of intent.

The content of this Opening Plan is intended as a guide and will be implemented where possible, along with any further changes which may have to be made in order to align with local standards.
