The Specialized Pitch is a lightweight bike with chunky tyres and disc brakes that makes up the core of our Free-Use Bike Fleet. This versatile bike will soak up the valley floor trails and the gentler (Green graded) high mountain routes, yet will be equally at home on a family bike ride pottering around the lake or along the river. With a light-weight aluminium frame, beefed up tyres, front suspension and performance-driven parts, these bikes are the perfect steed for an alpine adventure.
We offer free bike hire with all our summer alpine holidays and our Morzine chalet guests even get a free bike upgrade (see below). We have a large fleet of bikes with more than enough to go around so just grab one from our racks and enjoy a two-wheeled adventure or just potter around the resort-level trails. Why not hitch-up one of our baby trailers (yes, we’ve even got a few of those!) and take your little-uns out for a ride?
All our Morzine chalet guests can enjoy a free bike upgrade. So, instead of grabbing one from our hotel workshop racks each day, you’ll get your own bike fitted to you, which you can take back to your chalet for the week. Your bike will be PDI checked by our mechanics half way through your stay.
This is normally a £79 upgrade and we have all sizes, small to large (9yrs+). We also have bikes for kids under 9, but we’d prefer you to come to our hotels each day to collect a child bike as they are more limited.
As a hotel guest, you’ll also get free use of our Specialized bikes, (no change there), but instead of having your own bike for the week, you can come down to the workshop each day to grab a new bike from our racks which will be freshly checked and fitted to you for the day.
In hotels, we very rarely experience issues with availability as there are plenty to go around. There may be a short wait in busy periods, however, you may reserve your own bike for the week, (with settings unchanged), for a supplement of £79
All chalet guests have a free bike upgrade, but hotel guests will select (and have fitted) a fresh bike from our hotel racks each time they would like to use one. Workshops are normally open between 9.30 & 5pm (with a break for lunch). We don’t often experience issues with bike availability and normally there are plenty to go around, but occasionally there may be a slight wait in busy periods. Normally this doesn't last for long.
As a hotel guest, you may Reserve a Bike to use all week, (with settings unchanged), for a supplement of £79. This means that you won't have to have a fresh one fitted each day and there will be no risk of waiting. We call this our Bike Upgrade, although it’s the same bike as our free-use bikes - it’s just reserved to you for the week.
It is advisable to ‘Reserve a Bike’ before you travel. Regrettably, we cannot make refunds if you decide not to make use of your reserved bike on arrival.

This bike is not for use on anything more than the easiest Green trails and valley floor paths. It is not to be taken on the lift-assisted trails, unless following one of our Route Cards where steep off road tracks are avoided. We do recommend renting a full suspension bike if lift assisted trail riding is important to you.
Bikes are available from our main hotels, so you can grab one from our racks whenever you choose. There are plenty of bikes to go around and if you have to wait, then it’ll only be for a short time. Our Active Staff will ensure you get more than enough use of a bike during your week.
If you would like to reserve your own bike to use all week, (with your own settings unchanged), then you can pay a supplement for our ‘bike upgrade’ for 6 days’.
In each of our main hotels we have a fully kitted bike-workshop and trained bike mechanics to keep your wheels rolling. If you notice a fault, then take the bike straight back to them. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged for accidental damage or wear n’ tear if you use the bikes in accordance with our allowable use guidelines.
