Eat, drink and be active

A good day in the mountains starts with one very important meal. Each morning you’ll enjoy our very own Breakfast of Champions. In the evenings we’ll tease your taste buds with a delicious three-course menu, served six nights a week, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants for staff's night off.

Get stuck into the activities

Val D’isere is a pretty alpine resort (one of the nicest, we think) and has lots of great activities on offer. Many are free to do and we’ve included some of the best in our FREE Active Packs so that you’ve more than enough activities to sink your teeth into during a week with us - from Electric mountain biking to archery and even a guided walk with a professional guide.

We also include a free lift pass for hikers and mountain bikers and free access to a plethora of great resort activities around Val D’Isere. We also include free mountain bike hire so you get a top-notch Specialized bike to use.

We’ll even help you get wet with a free session of white water rafting. Nothing breaks the ice with your fellow hotel guests like heading down a river at high speed on an inflatable raft, right? And the rapids near Val’ are some of the best in the Alps!

Our free Active Packs will keep you busy enough, but if you’ve got any spare time, the area is also renowned for its Via Ferrata, its horse riding, even glacier walking, parapenting and so much more.

About Val D’Isere

Val D’Isere is one of the prettiest (and ritziest!) mountain resorts in Europe, surrounded by pine forest, alpine meadows, rugged and rocky scenery, fresh streams, waterfalls and stunning walking and biking.

It has a bustling centre of cafes, shops and bars hosts a weekly market with many organised events for the family.

It’s also linked to neighbouring Tignes - so it has an extended biking and walking area and lots of diversity for all tastes.

Family-friendly fun

Val D’isere is a summer resort that was made for kids! There’s lots to do from horse and pony rides to tennis and swimming, kids adventure playgrounds, child friendly biking (even bike obstacle courses) and of course a plethora of excellent mountain walks and days out. The family will love to ride up the gondolas, try electric biking, archery and climbing or chilling at the Aqua Sportif centre to name but a few free and inclusive

The hotel enjoys a central position – so everything is close by and yet not too noisy. We don’t offer a Kids’ Club from this hotel.

If you’re travelling with babies or toddlers don't forget to ask about our baby packs with cots and high chairs. The hotel has family suites with interconnecting rooms too.

For the Walking and Hiking

A walking (and biking) lift pass is free with our holidays so you can use the gondola’s and chairlifts to your heart’s content. They’re great for reaching the high vantage points easily and cover many miles of beautiful rugged terrain.

Expect spectacular alpine scenery, glacier walks and itineraries from gentle family rambles to adventurous hikes to the snow-line. With crampons (and a guide) if you like!

For the Biking

For our Val D’Isere guests we provide a free bikers lift pass which is a real bonus! This pass will access the full lift system and more than 350 Km’s of exciting bike trails spanning over into Tignes for Cross Country, Downhill, Northshore bike parks and ...well... you name it, Tignes has it!

Val’ provides a level of facilities and bike trails which are among the finest in Europe. We recommend that guests hire a full suspension bike to make best use of the trails using the lifts.

For the Weather

Val D’Isereis a very southern resort and has one of the best sun shine records in the Alps. Guests can enjoy a quieter, more exclusive alpine resort compared to its neighbouring Tignes, but with many of the same (free) activities on offer.
