About Hotel Le Ski d’Or

The Ski d’Or is a welcoming 4 star hotel in one of Tignes’ finest locations: the heart of Val Claret. It offers ski to door access and excellent local skiing with direct access to the Val d’isere sector - and the glacier - should you feel like treading farther afield. Our hotel enjoys a calm but central location for quick access to the lively bars, shops and nouveau style cafes and restaurants of this snowy ski village. After an unforgettable day exploring this incredible ski area, there’s nothing better than to head back to the comforts of our hotel bar and comfy lounge to enjoy the sensational views of the Grand Motte. After a cuppa’, why not head to the spa and go for a dip in our hot tub or recuperate yourself in the hotel steam room and sauna. Take it slow for a while. You’ve earned it.

Bedrooms...take your pick

The hotel has 27 en-suite bedrooms, beautifully presented in an Alpine-Chic style with luxurious carpets, mini-fridge, writing desk, sofa seating (in most rooms) and an ensuite bathroom, of course. Almost all the rooms enjoy sunny panoramic views of the mountains and views of the Grand Motte. We have a variety of twin, double and triple bedrooms with family quads and interconnecting rooms which are great for parents who want some privacy from their kids.

• 11 rooms: Double en-suite shower or bath, WC, Balcony
• 7 rooms: Twin en-suite shower or bath, WC, Balcony
• 5 rooms: Triple (3 singles) en-suite shower or bath, WC, Balcony
• 4 rooms: Family Quad (twin + single + pullout bed) en-suite shower or bath, WC, Balcony

Once you’ve fuelled up with a delicious, filling breakfast then you’re ready to go. Simply step outside the hotel and cross over to the slopes. Walk up to the Tuffs chairlift which is about 200 metres or a 2 minute walk away. After your day’s skiing then you can ski almost right back to the hotel door, unclip, and head indoors for a well earned drink or a cuppa’ tea.

The Ski d’Or is in the centre of Tignes Val Claret - doorstep to the ski slopes and amenities - and all the finest skiing and boarding is really close by. You’ll find a lively choice of apres ski, lots of ski shops and some great restaurants close to the hotel

And we know that nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon. Round off the day with a delicious five-course meal. You won’t go hungry staying with us!

  • Continental breakfast (7 days) with hot options (5 days)
  • Afternoon tea, coffee & hot chocolate with freshly-baked cakes (6 days)
  • 5-course à la carte dinners (6 nights)

About Tignes

Tignes is linked to neighbouring Val d’Isère to create a large ski area (formerly known as l'Espace Killy, after local Olympic champion Jean Claude Killy) with a wide range of skiing and boarding for all levels. Tignes has rightly earned itself a 'Super Resort' status among the plethora of European ski resorts. It is one of the best resorts in the Alps, with impeccably maintained pistes and is famous for its high altitude skiing and an excellent snow record. A status that most other resorts can only dream of.

The slopes in Tignes are characteristically wide and served by a range of high speed lifts. This allows for effortless skiing which appeals to all abilities, less slope congestion and not so much waiting in lift queues, even in peak season!
