Latest Travel Information
Updated July 9
The summer is looking good for British holidaymakers as UK quarantine restrictions will be lifted from July 19th. This means you’ll be able to travel to France on holiday (quarantine free) and at the current time we still have some great chalets and hotels available.
Great news for holidaymakers
It’s great news for us holiday-starved Brits and you can reserve your holiday now before the ‘Freedom Day’ rush. If the quarantine is not lifted on the 19th, (and for this reason you prefer not to travel), then you can change your dates for free, or we’ll refund you in cash. See refunds section below.
If we know you’re travelling to a destination where you’ll need to self-isolate or quarantine on your arrival in France or your return to the UK, you will have the option to amend your holiday free of charge to any other date until April 2023. Our Covid Promise.
If we cannot operate your accommodation or the resort is closed due to Coronavirus reasons you can change your dates to another holiday. For our guests booking this summer, if the expected quarantine is not lifted on July 19 then - if you still choose not to travel - you can change your dates or get a full cash refund.
You can holiday in France, now!
July 19th is the date mooted for the removal of the quarantine restriction, but don't forget that fully vaccinated Brits are able to visit France for holidays at the present time - which is a welcome step forwards from ‘essential travel’ only. Although you can travel today on holiday to France - with no need to quarantine on arrival - you’ll still need to quarantine on your return to the UK until the publicised date of July 19th when we look forward to having all quarantines lifted for free travel. Self Drive to the Alps
The Alps are also a popular choice for self-drives and driving to the Alps is not as far as you might think. It generally takes about 7-8 hours on the French side and it's also a great way to experience France and see some spectacular sights on route if you prefer to take your time over the journey and stop on the way.
Take the Eurotunnel and you can travel in your own bubble between your front door and chalet. All our chalets and hotels have free parking onsite (which can be limited) but there’s always parking very close by, which is generally free.
Fly to the Alps
We have chosen to stop selling holiday packages with flights included. This is because many of our guests are requesting to self drive or book their own flights from their home airport and not be committed to a Gatwick charter flight leaving at 6am on a Sunday morning!
Fly to Geneva from all UK airports with airlines like BA, Easyjet and Ryan air. The transfer is just over 1 hour and some of our properties come with a complimentary transfer to and from Geneva airport to the resort. More on complimentary transfers
