Many of our guests are asking about our cancellation terms in light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation. We have standard cancellation terms included with all our holidays which we have relaxed for Summer 2020 to give you more peace of mind; and for new reservations (made after May 25th) we have now created an enhanced cancellation policy to give you even greater peace of mind.
This is not an insurance policy and we would always recommend that you take out individual Travel/Medical Insurance cover as you would normally for any overseas holiday. This policy is simply in place to deal with the handling of cancellations for your holiday and any extras bought with Alpine Elements.
All of our holidays come with standard cancellation terms which are based on the period of time we receive your notice to cancel before the start* of your holiday. We have temporarily relaxed our cancellation terms for existing bookings and new reservations to offer you more peace of mind and greater flexibility - so you can cancel closer to your departure date, and for significantly reduced cancellation charges. The above table shows our relaxed cancellation terms for holidays departing after 17 May 2020 and before 31 October 2020 (temporarily relaxed on 24 April 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic)
Whilst we have relaxed our standard cancellation terms, you may still incur a loss of deposit and/or cancellation charges which are non-refundable. So, if you are a new booker (after May 25th, 2020) we are able to offer you our Superior Cancellation Cover to give you a 100% refund.
For a premium of just £49pp, you are able to cancel right up to 24 hours before departure (but no earlier than 14 days before) and receive a 100% refund of all your holiday accommodation, catering, transfers, activities and all payments made to Alpine Elements, less your premium of £49pp.
This policy is specifically for the Covid-19 situation so any reasons for your cancellation - which can include a ‘disinclination to travel’ - must be due to a significant change with the ongoing Covid situation.

This policy will only be available for guests that choose to self-travel. So, you will need to book your own travel or self-drive to the Alps. You can fly with EasyJet to Geneva and we will include a free transfer to resort if your flight lands before 3pm on our Sunday changeover day. Our transfer coach departs at (approx) 4pm, so you will need to wait in the airport lounge if you arrive sooner.
Cover will only be provided if your policy is booked with the initial reservation. Please note that the premium for our Cancellation Cover is non-refundable and must be paid in full (by bank transfer) at the time of reservation. Cancellation Cover cannot be retrospectively added to bookings and it is only for customers who book after May 25th 2020.
*The start of your holiday is calculated back from 12am on the day you are due to depart.
