A Typical Week in Morzine

Summer 2026

Morzine is a lively mountain town with stunning scenery and great summer weather. From family fun to adrenaline thrills, our Mountain Team is on hand to help you make the most of your week. Many of the best activities are included in our free Active Packs — here’s a taste of what your week could look like:

A Family Adventure Holiday

Morzine is perfect for all ages, with fun for kids and teens (4+) and a mountain of activities for adults. Whether you crave relaxation, culture, or thrills, Morzine has it covered!

Our holidays encourage families to be active together in the Alps, while our Active Kids Clubs give parents a chance to enjoy an activity—or two—on their own.

Day 1 - Bike Along the Dranse

Grab one of our free-use bikes and enjoy a leisurely ride along the river Dranse—perfect for all ages. Kids will love the woodland activities along the way, and a riverside picnic is always a hit.

Or, head for the hills and try a more adventurous ride at altitude, following one of our epic Route Cards!

In the Afternoon

Venture up to the Nyon waterfalls on foot or by bike, or take your free lift pass on the Pleney gondola for stunning views, high-altitude walks, and a mountain restaurant. You can also enjoy resort-based activities included on your Multipass, like ice skating, tennis, and swimming.

Day 2 – Lakes, Swimming & Watersports

Spend the day at Lac Montriond, enjoying swimming, a woodland walk, and our inclusive paddleboarding or kayaking excursion. Stop by lakeside cafés and restaurants for a relaxing break.

Our Active Team will be there to welcome you. Choose a stand-up paddleboard or a sit-on-top kayak for about an hour, with the option to extend your session at the kayak centre. It’s a beautiful, tranquil lake that guests love to explore.

In the Afternoon

After your session on the lake, why not go for lunch at a lake restaurant or walk up to the Goat Village (a village inhabited by many goats) which is about an hour’s walk from the lake. For a shorter walk, then a loop of the lake makes for a lovely stroll along its lakeside paths.

Kayaking & Paddleboarding

Day 3 Whitewater rafting day trip

A highlight of the week is our free Whitewater Rafting excursion, included for all guests. It’s a fun, social adventure, perfect for meeting other Alpine Elements guests.

Suitable for ages 8+ (confident swimmers), the trip is led by experienced guides who navigate the rapids through stunning scenery. Guests are picked up after breakfast by coach, while younger children can enjoy extended care at our Breakfast Club.

In the Afternoon

After an eventful morning, relax at the hotel pool or in your chalet garden. Stroll around Morzine’s charming shops and cafés, or, if you’ve still got energy, take a high-altitude walk using your free lift pass. Our Route Cards offer plenty of options, and the mountain lifts run all day.

Day 4 - ‘Cascades’ Tree Top Adventure

A highlight of the week is our inclusive excursion to Cascades Adventure, voted the most popular activity by 2025 guests. This treetop adventure course at the Nyon Waterfalls lets you navigate the trees using harness lines, zip wires, rope walks, and more. The activity lasts just over 3 hours, with five courses for kids aged 6+ and adults, plus an Adventure PLUS course for confident teens and adults.

You can also walk or cycle to the centre instead of taking the bus, extending your day with a tour of the stunning Nyon Waterfalls along the way.

In the Afternoon

After your Cascades Adventure, enjoy lunch at the Cascades Café, then extend your day with a walk or cycle to Lac Mines d’Or, a peaceful, scenic lake about an hour from the activity. Our Active Team can provide Route Cards for these trails.

Day 5 - High altitude walk or ride to Fantasticable

Today’s recommended adventure is a loop walk or bike ride using the Super Morzine and Zorre chairlifts. The route takes you high into the mountains before descending along gentle tracks and roads to the Goat Village and Lake Montriond. It’s suitable for confident cyclists aged 5+.

Halfway down, visit the Fantasticable, the longest zipwire in Europe (from €17), and the quirky Goat Village for ice cream or coffee. Continue to Lake Montriond for sunbathing and swimming, then return to the hotel either on foot, by bike, or the free bus.

Our Active Team will provide a detailed Route Card to help you get the most from this spectacular day out.

Fantasticable

Day 6 – Walk or Cycle to Les Gets

Follow one of our Route Cards and use your free lift pass on the Pleney cable car to 989 m, where a mountain restaurant, family biking trails, and walking paths await. Descend along scenic high-altitude trails into Les Gets, stopping at the lake for a break.

In the Afternoon

Relax at the lake with sunbathing, wild swimming, or try the Wi-Bit inflatable obstacle course (from €14) for fun at all ages. Explore Les Gets’ shops and cafés, then return to Morzine via the free bus or the Chavannes chairlift.
