The Alps were made for families… An active holiday in the mountains is a great way for families to bond, whilst they share great times learning new sports and doing fun activities. Activities like white water rafting, kayaking or mountain biking and much more.
Your children will make new friends and discover new experiences in our inclusive Active Clubs, whilst allowing parents some ‘me-time’ to recharge or try some adult activities.

The Alps are vast and waiting! They offer an adventure for all appetites - from tentative tots to gung-ho teen’s - and will make sure all the family are well entertained with age appropriate activities for every age from 4 and up.
So whether you like hurtling down bike trails or sedately kayaking across a beautiful alpine lake or walking along spectacular alpine trails - you’ll find plenty to do and we’ve even included some of the best activities for free.
The Alps offer so many activities for families to enjoy together, that sometimes it’s hard to choose what to do! Our Active Team will help you choose the best; and plan a fun-filled week of activity. They will also give you lots of suggested itineraries for ‘days out’ on two wheels or two feet!.
There’s lots going on in our Active Clubs and your children will love discovering new experiences and forming new friendships along the way.
Relax while our Active Leaders take over the reins and keep your kids entertained. Active Clubs are for ages 4-12 years. They run most days a week; and the best bit is that they’re free for your kids to join!
The Alps offer a plethora of activities which families love to do together; and our Kids Clubs are designed so families can enjoy the mountain with each other.
Our clubs will also take your little ones off your hands for a few hours a day - so you get a well-deserved breather and a chance to try some activities for yourself.
Our chalets and hotels are completely geared up for families. They offer a warm and friendly atmosphere and attract like minded active families all summer long. Each of our properties is a hub of activity and stocked with sports equipment for you to use. Our main hotels host our Active Kids Clubs which are also free to join.
Families love the excellent bike trails and facilities. The warm weather encourages young riders to learn and develop, and the ski lifts (adapted for bikes in summer) will whisk you back to the top of the hill so you can do it all over again.
Morzine and Les Gets are great for families. Kids as young as 5 can use the lifts when accompanied by an adult and there’s lots of easy-to-use trails, pump tracks and obstacle courses which dad, mum and the kids will love. Either head for the lifts and look for the easy trails, or book a guided ride with a professional instructor so you can learn how to get started. Guides can be arranged on arrival by your Alpine Elements rep for a small local fee.
Tignes has lovely valley rides and a gorgeous lake to ride around, and some easy cruising trails (using the lifts) which are suited to 8 year olds and up. The great thing with Tignes is the lift pass is free!
We’re not just family friendly, we’re completely geared towards families! All of our chalets and hotels welcome children in the school holidays and our exclusive family hotels have all the essentials like Kids Club, swimming pools and family games onsite. We recommend Hotel Hermine Blanche, Morzine, Hotel Philibert, Morzine and Hotel Le Ski Dor, Tignes. Our chalets are great for families too, but you’ll need to walk to meet up at our main hotels to join Kids Club.
