Be as relaxed as you want to be

At Alpine Elements we design our holidays to work hard, so that you don’t ever have to. It’s why a holiday with us is created to give you as much (or as little) to do as you want.

Our hotels, with their swimming pools, gardens and spa areas offer the perfect setting to shake off your worries and enjoy some serious downtime, on and off the sunlounger.

So put your feet up and enjoy these suggestions for taking it easy...

Take it easy

While everyone else hits the water, it’s time for you to hit the sunlounger - hard. Whether you prefer to be poolside or feel the grassy banks of the lake between your toes, our hotels have plenty of sunloungers (and plenty of sun). Or why not find a shady tree in the gardens and have 40 winks in the warmth of the afternoon? You’re on holiday after all…

Mountain lakes

Our lakes offer the perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoy peaceful surroundings and sunshine, maybe some wild swimming or a walk around its shore. Let the kids go wild on paddleboards (or join them if you must!) before taking it easy and sunbathing on its ‘beaches’ or lunching at one of the lakeside restaurants. The lake is calm and beautiful. The perfect place to unwind.

Take in the sights. And the sites.

If you’ve ever been to the French Alps before you’ll know how rich it is in history and culture. If you are looking for a culturally rich destination then Morzine is a perfect alpine resort, with museums, wildlife, viewing platforms (at the top of main lifts) and guided walks which show you the history of the area. We can organise day trips to nearby places like Annecy or Chamonix, or drive there in your car (they're only an hour away). Chamonix is a favourite and steeped in mountaineering history and home to the highest cable car and mountain in Europe. Not to mention the Mer de Glace, or glacier lake.

Explore the trails

Ask our Active team for some suggested itineraries for a day out to suit your tastes. Try our Mont Caly Walk. It starts from the top of the Mont Chery cable car in Les Gets (so pack your free lift pass) and loops via an excellent and authentic mountain restaurant for an easy 5-6km walk. Panoramic views are guaranteed. We have lots of casual bike rides and walks for all ages which don't require an epic itinerary.

ROUTE CARDS

Ride the cable cars and chairlifts

Whether you just want to build up an appetite for lunch or do some serious hiking, your free pedestrian lift pass will access 25 lifts and enable you to reach high vantage points easily and experience impressive walks at altitude., which can be as easy or challenging as you choose. Ask our Active Team on arrival for our Route Cards (walking suggestions) pitted to your fitness and tastes.

MORE ON LIFTS

Get the pulse racing

If keeping active is your way to relax then our bikes are perfect for a casual cycle, or, if you’re on the hunt for some adrenaline then hire one of our Pro bikes and hit the Downhill trails.

Our inclusive sessions on Whitewater rafting, paddlesports (on the lake) and Cascades Adventure have been specially selected so you can enjoy them with your children, offering the right amount of excitement for all.
