Riding around the mountains and along river trails is a fantastic experience for all abilities from complete beginners to the keen riders among you. Kids will enjoy pony treks and there’s an equestrian centre in each of our alpine resorts
All riders, including beginners and children, will enjoy a sedate guided ride through the woods of Morzine and the more accomplished riders can enjoy a longer hack through the forest and along the river Dranse. There will also be an option to go for a canter and shake off any cobwebs. Prices for a one-hour hack and lesson are from €30, or a more intense 3 hour/half day tour is from €45. Kids tours start at just €21.
Accompanied horse and pony trips are available as a hack and lesson, (approx. 1 hr 30 run-time) is from €30. You can also do a half-day horse ride, and prices are from €45 at the École d'aventure équestre.
The minimum age for Pony Trekking is 5 years old, and the level of difficulty is low, as is the level of fitness required. Although almost anyone can enjoy our treks and rides, a reasonable sense of balance is also recommended!
Our Holidays come with more free-and-inclusive activities than you can shake a kayak paddle at! What’s more – we’ve picked the best ones and packaged them up in our Active Pack - which is a free package of activities (worth up to £355) offered to all guests staying in our chalets and hotels
If you have any energy left, you can try additional activities in resort and our Active reps will help you organise them for a small additional cost. The most popular add-on activities are Canyoning, Via Ferrata, Horse Riding and Parapenting.
