The ‘Cascades’ Adventure Park was the most popular activity in 2023 for our guests and we include it for FREE in our Active Packs. Each session lasts for about 3 hours (or more) and there is an Adventure course for ages 6 to 12 and an Adventure Plus course for ages 13+, meaning everyone in the family can join in together!

Your Free ActivitiesYou can choose to SUP rather than kayak as your free activity!
VIA FERRATAYou will really enjoy the ‘Cascades’ Adventure courses, (whatever your age!) and in summer 2023 our guests raved about it! Children age 6-12 will enjoy the Adventure course and the older children (and adults) will all love the Adventure PLUS course. Each course runs high above the ground and you will move through the treetops on ropes, zip wires, cargo nets, bridges and swings. It’ll be a smash hit with all the family and combines so many elements of outdoor excitement that you’ll be exhilarated, possibly exhausted, but almost certainly wanting to go back for more!
Many guests like to cycle or walk to the activity, just to make more of an excursion of it! It’s a lovely route along the river and up to the Nyon waterfalls where the Cascades Adventure Park is located. Ask our reps for our Nyon Waterfall Route Card when you arrive, which is a suggested itinerary for the day, and takes in the Cascades park on-route.
For walking & cycling: it’s an easy 45 mins’ walk from the centre of Morzine, or a fun cycle along a dirt track with lots of flat bits and a slight incline, which you can do with children of all ages. You’ll enjoy the route along the river and up to the Nyon waterfall to start your day at Cascades. The distance is about 1.5 miles.
The local bus: Alternatively, you can use the local (free) buses which run from all of our chalets and hotels and straight to Nyon.
For Les Gets guests: simply take the bus into Morzine and walk up to the ‘Cascades’ waterfall following our Nyon Waterfall Route Card; or cycle from Les Gets to Morzine, (30 mins) or 1Hr if you follow the ‘Morzine Route Card’ which takes you on a scenic route up the mountain and down into Morzine
Tip: The mountain cafe at Cascades is a lovely spot for lunch.
On arrival, our Active Team will be on hand to assist and get you started. After a safety briefing and an introduction to the courses, you’ll get harnessed up and the fun begins! Families can join in together with Adventure courses for the under 12’s and more exhilarating courses for the over 12’s .
Cascades is designed so everyone can participate together, with adult and child routes side-by-side so you can do the course with your family. There’s a lovely woodland cafe for lunch (or order a pack lunch from the hotel) and picnic at the Nyon waterfalls, which make for a superb atmosphere.
The High Ropes Adventure Park is a lot of fun for everyone and as a free activity for Morzine guests you’ll enjoy it with your fellow hotel or chalet guests as we create groups of ten to twelve to start together. Nothing helps you to break the ice better with your fellow guests than hurtling around the trees in an adventure park, right?
With many of our guests participating at the same time, the walk or cycle there (and back) is a social event in itself and promises to be a very fun day out. Afterwards, you may just want to chill in the woodland cafe at the Cascades or enjoy a picnic by the waterfalls before you cycle back to Morzine. Or, the more adventurous can continue a walk or cycle up to the Lac Mines D’or lake, so do ask our reps for the 'Mine d’Or’ Route Card.
