Morzine ski holidays are perfect for all levels and abilities from novice to advanced skier. A pretty ski resort with a buzzing nightlife, fantastic cuisine and very welcoming locals.
Linked directly to Morzine and the vast Portes du Soleil Ski area - Les Gets is next door to Morzine and shares many of the same benefits for family ski holidays and beginner skiing. A quaint and charming "chocolate box" style ski resort, good for intermediate skiers and has great facilities, apres ski and boutique shopping. Extras prices are cheaper than normal, but that doesn't mean less of a ski experience! In fact quite the opposite - Les Gets offers one of Europe's premium ski areas in Europe with excellent quality skiing and snowboarding for all.
Meribel is in the heart of the Trois Vallees. A very famous and popular ski area popular with British skiers and boarders, both novice and intermediate as well as advanced snow users are well suited here. If you like covering lots of mileage on your ski holiday - then alongside Les Arcs, La Plagne, Morzine, this is the resort for you! Expect good nightlife a typically traditional feel to the resort. Meribel is in the centre of the 3 valleys for route 1 access to many great ski areas.
The traditionally ritzy, glitzy Trois Vallees ski resort of Courchevel is made trendier with the recent growth of Courchevel 1650. Combining a fantastic ski area with crackling resort-life packed full of bars, cafes and shops that brings this resort still manages to offer affordable skiing for everyone. Great skiing and boarding for all levels, beginner to advanced, and good value prices for this great domain.
Along with Tignes, Val d'Isere is part of the famous Espace Killy ski area. Compared to it's neighbour, Val d'Isere also brings more than a soupçon of French style and panache. Devotees of the town return year after year for the amazing terrain and legendary Aprés Ski nightlife all wrapped up in a certain chicness.
The mighty Tignes needs no introduction as Europe's most snow sure destination. The towering 3550m Grande Motte acts as a snow magnet, which in summer facilitates skiing and snowboarding, and in winter provides near endless snowy entertainment! The development in recent years of new chalet-style proprties replacing the older concrete structures has brought about a much prettier resort. Skiing in Tignes is little short of fabulous; all levels and abilities are catered for, from wide motorway pistes and well maintained runs to powder and trees.
St Anton is a truly world class ski resort with one of the most famous Après Ski scenes anywhere in the World - the Mooserwhirt on-piste bar is rightly legendary. This would mean little without the wide range of excellent terrain available to the skier and snowboarder. There is some genuinely challenging skiing in the area, but with enough easy beginner and intermediate terrain to make it ideal for all abilities, making St Anton resort a true skiers favourite.
La Plagne is a great all rounder and now linked to the excellent resort of Les Arcs, forming the huge Paradiski domain. La Plagne's villages are on 3 levels, the prettiest and most popular of which is Plagne 1800. This has some of the best skiing in the resort and manages a quaint, good looking, chalet style appearance and atmosphere. We also have catered ski chalets higher up, at Plagne Centre, which does not compete in the 'prettiness' stakes but offers excellent value and tremendous terrain!
Part of the very "in-demand" and newly formed Paradiski area. Les Arcs is linked directly to neighbouring La Plagne via cable car. This now provides one of the largest ski areas and is highly suitable for all-rounders, for powder hounds, and for family skiers alike. Having some of the highest and most snow sure slopes in Europe, Les Arcs 2000 is great for beginners and inters. For some, Les Arcs is a cadle of French Snowboarding, and has excellent snow parks. In short - a real all rounder with fantastic skiing and boarding!
