Summer skiing in the alps

Summer Skiing Holidays

Run time: 07:30 - 13:00 | Guide Price: Liftpass 25€ per day + ski hire | Min Age: 4 yrs

Tignes Summer skiingWhere the Apres ski starts at lunchtime & the sun's always shining

Tignes boasts one of the highest ski-able glaciers in the world, which usually offers great skiing and boarding between June and September*. Expect good quality  hard-packed snow in the morning which warms and softens nicely throughout the day; the conditions are quite easy to ski and snowboard on, and many of the ski teams use Tignes to keep up with their training.

Fresh snow does fall regularly throughout the summer, and the snow generally remains in excellent shape all season.Skiers and snowboarders can pack a lot into their day with a ski in the morning and an alternative activity in the afternoon such as tennis, biking, rafting, walking or just sunbathing!

Skiing in summer is a real novelty and can be just as good as the winter - especially up in Tignes! The Grande Motte (3550m) is one of Europe’s highest ski-able Glaciers. It offers the best summer skiing and boarding in Europe and is the chosen home for many Pro’s and ski teams during the summer months.

It offers up to 27kms of slopes for all abilities. Lifts will be open all summer with slopes varying in grade from blue to red, and a small snow park with jumps will keep the Freestylers happy! The skiing and boarding will suit all levels and lessons can be booked in resort.

* Subject to availablility. The glacier may be closed at any time of year depending upon resort and glacier conditions.
