Tignes and Val d'Isère offer some of the finest bike trails in the Alps. With an altitude range of 1550m to 3456m, it creates a unique terrain and a diversity that every aspiring rider should try. There may be fewer Km’s of trails than Morzine, but there’s more than enough for a week away and it’s high quality stuff. Also, the facilities and lessons for beginners and improvers are better in Tignes

Just like Morzine, bikers can use the chairlifts and gondolas in Tignes. There may be fewer lifts and trails, but they are of a high quality and span over into the epic resort of Val d'Isère. The lift system (6 lifts) is open all summer, so you can access 350+Km’s of excellent tracks and Downhill trails suited to all levels of rider, from beginner and up.
Tignes is great for beginner and expert Downhill riders and you will enjoy our special Downhill MTB Lesson which we have designed with local professionals Evolution 2 to appeal to our guests and help you get started (or improve) your riding on Tignes’ epic trails.
Famous beginner trails like the Smoothie (green) or Jump Around (blue) start at the top of the Palafour chairlift and (like all trails and lifts) are FREE on your MyTignes Multipass! On top, there are a number of amazing trails and bike parks for the experts. Fear not!

Cross Country riders will love that sense of adventure that comes from covering huge distances, knowing you can always get back home! Tignes has hundreds of Kms of epic trails and scenery to blow you away. You have a huge altitude range so the riding is more diverse and rugged than anywhere else in the Alps.
