With some of the longest descents in Europe, vertical drops of up to 2000m and the Plagne Bellecôte glacier to keep you busy, there’s an incredible choice of how and where you want to ski or board or both.

Skiing & Boarding in La Plagne

Snowboarders will love the long powder descents from the summit of the Glacier ""Plagne Bellecôte"". The resort is well featured with lots of natural terrain - humps, gulleys, natural half pipes and long sweeping runs.

La Plagne is perfect for all levels of boarder, and the snow park is not too intimidating and full of beginner and intermediate jumps to try.

Now that La Plagne is linked directly with Les Arcs, it’s popularity has increased tenfold!

A vast snowboard area (4th largest in France) - It has almost doubled its' 225km of runs to a staggering 425kms, and has miles of superb Off Piste on top of that!

The Vanoise Express cable car is quite a experience in itself carrying you 380m above the bottom of the valley. It’s 2km long but for those who have trouble with idea of being squeezed into a metal box dangling from a wire - don’t worry, at 4 minutes it’s super quick.

La Plagne for Beginners

This is a true all rounders resort and whether beginner or progressive beginner you will find a huge number of well linked green and blue trails to cut your teeth on. All slopes run close to our chalets so you won't have to walk too far and beginners can easily have access to ski most of the resort without the need for drag lifts!

English speaking instructors and good quality snow schools are all part of the local landscape in this very well facilitated resort.

About La Plagne

The snow sure nature of La Plagne is helped by the glacier skiing at Plagne Bellecôte, which extends up to 3250 metres. From here you will find an up to 2000m vertical drop, with some Black and Red slopes together with a seemingly endless supply of powder, and some of the longest descents in France.

Our Chalets in La Plagne are mostly ski to door or very close to the slopes. They are also just a short, easy ski to the ski school meeting points - so convenient skiing is definitely something which you can look forward too.

Around La Plagne

La Plagne Centre (2000m) has fallen foul of the dreaded concrete touch but the huge amounts of snow seem to make it look fresh and pleasant all season round. As you would expect it is the largest of the Villages in La Plagne and is a Mecca for shops, bars and restaurants.

1800 has by and large escaped the planners concrete nightmares, with more of a chalet-style, and a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a handful of good bars and restaurants and some ski shops. Ski buses run up to Plagne centre until midnight, this all helps give skiers the perfect mix: lots of apres ski and very pleasant surroundings"
