Les Gets

A Holiday to Remember!

Les Gets offers excellent skiing for all levels and abilities in very pretty, often tree lined, surroundings. There’s ideal easy to intermediate level skiing for families, newcomers and those in need of a refresher on the slopes but also plenty for the more advanced. Beginner and Intermediate snowboarders will love the wide open nature of the landscape.

Although the Snow Park is a little more tame than its big brother up in Avoriaz, it’s perfect for Beginner to Intermediate riders with easy jumps and a very relaxed atmosphere.

There’s a lively café culture, restaurants, snack bars, boutique shopping and an open-air ice rink – just one of the many highlights that get Les Gets on the family favourites list ear after year. When the early birds have turned in, the resort’s après-ski kicks off and keeps going into the early hours, every night, all season long.

About Les Gets

Being a part of the huge Portes du Soleil means that skiers have access to some of the best and most extensive skiing anywhere in the World. The area hosts many festivals, competitions, and other high profile events, spanning over 12 separate ski stations and offers excellent skiing for all abilities leading over into Switzerland for unrivalled variety and miles of piste!

A pretty resort in the heart of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, offering a wide variety of excellent terrain.

About the Skiing & Boarding

With a well respected & professional teaching programme, Les Gets is an extremely popular base for beginner and novice skiers & boarders. Les Gets, with its traditional village centre, pretty surroundings and gently rolling hills, is perhaps the ideal Alpine resort in which to learn to ski. There are plenty of areas geared up for beginners and further easy to moderate runs perfect for progression.

Les Gets also has very good snowboarding terrain, ideal for cruising around on and with a good range of facilities too. The Les Gets Snow park is very tame, (compared to it’s big brother up at Avoriaz), and ideal for beginners with easier jumps and a relaxed atmosphere. It is absolutely ideal for Snowboarders who are getting to grips with jumping and also progressing onto mid size jumps and hand rails.

Beginner Skiing Les Gets

Les Gets is renowned for its’ suitability for beginner skiing and snowboarding. The atmosphere in the resort is non-pressured and all the slopes are easy to get to, which also makes it ideal for families. The ski and board school is very good and naturally English speaking. A good network of beginner trails extends over the resort and offers hassle free and easy skiing which ends up back at one base point and needs no drag lifts! In short Les Gets is excellent for beginners and family ski holidays.

Around Les Gets

The Après-Ski and nightlife in Les Gets is surprisingly lively, and with about 16 good bars and a nightclub, the resort will keep going into the early hours. There is also a good café culture for the not-so-hedonistic among you and of course great restaurants too. For families there are plenty of off-snow activities.

Les Gets is twinned with Morzine and offer fabulous value for money ski holidays in a very pretty chalet style resort. It is suitable for all levels and offers wide motorway style pistes making general skiing and progress very easy for intermediates and families on ski holidays.

There are also some steeper more challenging runs and mogul fields up at Pointe de Nyon which happens to be one of the best descents in the whole Portes Du Soleil ski area.

Les Gets is a very pretty resort and has an open air ice rink and beautiful snow-lined streets for families and shoppers who enjoy boutique style shopping.
