Staying Safe on Holiday

The mountains should always remain a place of freedom and relaxation and we’ll always do our very best to ensure your holiday is everything you expect it to be. We may need to make changes to accommodation or facilities to ensure everyone remains safe and where we can, we’ll let you know of these changes in advance.

Overview

In our properties, there will be a general capacity restriction, with special focus on transfer coaches, mealtime planning, public areas (lounges), use of leisure facilities and activities planning so you can still enjoy the mountain and all it offers.

Our staff will be rigorously retrained to implement robust new cleaning standards and hotels and chalets will offer the best possible protection against infections during these times.

For our chalets and hotels

For our chalets and hotels that we manage:

  • Our staff will have comprehensive Covid-hygiene training; and they will all wear facemasks and PPE as necessary. (In line with local guidelines)
  • Public areas will be disinfected several times a day, with deep cleans on transfer day
  • A good supply of antibacterial gels throughout our properties
  • Our hotel and chalet capacities may be reduced, (unless privately booked chalets)
  • Our dinner service times may be lengthened to maintain distancing rules
  • There’s a midweek room clean but you can choose not to have it if you prefer staff don't enter your room.
  • Our resort staff will have their temperature checked before every shift.
  • Hotel restaurant and lounge planning will limit the number of guests in bars and restaurants by extending service hours. Tables will not be shared by separate bookings and be set 1 to 2 metres apart.

Spas and leisure facilities

Opening hours and number of guests in the spa areas or in leisure facilities (like hot tub/sauna) may be limited depending on local regulations, and (of course) they will get a lot of extra cleaning from us.

Our Supply Chain & Kitchens

All of our suppliers have been risk assessed to ensure they have appropriate Covid19 H&S policies in place. And our kitchen staff are qualified to Food Hygiene NVQ level 2 and rigorously trained to new COVID standards.

  • Comprehensive new rules to be followed when accepting deliveries.
  • Staff to wear gloves / masks (full PPE) when receiving supplies & goods kitchen food safe processes to follow new standards.
  • Food handling staff are qualified to Food Hygiene NVQ level 2.
  • Food handlers are required to wear gloves/masks and to change gloves if they move to a new food station.

Covid-19 Travel Insurance

We recommend that you take out additional Covid-19 travel insurance. Many travel insurance policies will no longer cover you as standard if your holiday is disrupted due to Coronavirus, but there are new policies and add-ons appearing on the market that will. Look for ones which will cover you in the event of NHS Test & Trace disrupting your plans.

Playing safe

We expect all our guests to practice safe distancing and make their own judgement as to whether they are comfortable with certain activities and situations before taking part.

When you’re on holiday, our local staff will be there to support you if you need it. You’re never on your own. We ask that you provide your own PPE for the week, and to take responsibility for its use. Although our staff will monitor distancing and PPE we’d like you to make your own judgements and to ensure that you adhere to our rules and take all precautions to remain safe. You understand the risks involved with a shared environment and that accidental contact / infringement of the distancing rules can happen at any time, even with the best of intent.

The content of this plan is intended as a guide and will be implemented where possible, along with any further changes which may have to be made in order to align with local standards.
