ski les gets

Snowboarding Morzine

Morzine and the Portes du Soleil (Avoriaz) have long since been seen as the "snowboarding capital" of Europe. Avoriaz was first to host the British Champs back in 1992 and such an early adoption of the sport shows the resorts serious attitude towards welcoming snowboarders, and providing adequate facilities - rather than just the token half pipe added as an after thought!

We have picked our resorts for their suitability to skiers as well as boarders and Morzine has a wonderful vibe and pretty chalet style architecture. The terrain is great for boarders and there are no less than 7 fun parks and additional Boarder Cross tracks throughout the resort to entertain you!

les gets board park

Snowboarding Les Gets

Linked directly to Morzine and the vast Portes du Soleil Snowboard area - Les Gets clearly gets all the same benefits, plus the close proximity of the Les Gets snowboard park and learner slopes.

Les Gets has the tamest of all 7 parks in the area (pictured left) and a very easy going vibe that encourages all beginner boarders from "giving it a go". Easy hand rails, small jumps and gentle powder fields up at Mont Chery will greet the novice boarders and still give the inters and advanced riders something to grin about!

The pistes in general across les Gets are wide and not too steep thus making learning much easier. Good snowboard shops and lively apres ski are also part of the attractionto visiting boarders.

ski chamonix

Snowboarding Chamonix

Chamonix is a major destination that all aspiring snowboarders should have on their tick list. For the not-so-talented (beginners) then the area of La Tour (Valorcine) is an easy step up to quick progression and provides excellent beginner / intermediate riding with lots of interesting features like cat tracks, humps, small jumps and tree lined rides.

All areas of Chamonix provide easy powder fields and of course more challenging stuff. Taking a guide on one of the many Off Piste routes such as the Vallee Blanche will guarantee you easy, fresh tracks and oodles of powder even days after a dump.

The resort itself has a real snowboardery vibe to it and attracts lots of "cool" people - year round. Nightlife is very varied and always promises to be a fun night out.

ski meribel

Snowboarding Meribel

Meribel is part of the huge Trois Valleys (Three Valleys) and provides a huge variety of snowboarding - fit for all levels, and expecially great for inters and above. Beginners have lots to do as well - but it is fair to say that only as an Intermediate (2 weeks and above), you will get the most out of this resort and its links to all 3 Valleys, however this is often true for most resorts.

Meribel has its smattering of fun parks scattered over the 3 valleys and lots of well kept runs (great for progressive beginners and inters) and many interesting features, roll-overs, cat tracks, small jumps and powder fields.

ski courchevelSnowboarding Courchevel

Courchevel 1650 and 1850 offer some excellent (easy) terrain for all levels of boarder. The local area has lots of very interesting little features - humps, bumps, banks and roll-overs that make riding around very entertaining.

Courchevel is great for beginners because of the majority of gentle and well kept runs. Inters and Advanced riders have a wealth of excellent 3 Valley riding at their fingertips and will find some of the most diverse terrain on offer throughout neighbouring Meribel and Val Thorens (for long powder descents). Parks and pipes are a standard and well kept feature in the area.

ski tignesSnowboarding Tignes

Tignes certainly requires no introduction as a might resort for snowboarders. Where can one start!? This resort has it all! Excellent parks, pipes and lots and lots of epic powder runs suited to all abilities.

The home run to Brevieres where a majority of our premium chalets are located is among the best in resort and has tree runs, blue runs, red runs and long powder descents as well as the famous Sache run back to base.

Tignes is linked to neighbouring super-resort Val d'isere and the riding and options on offer are therefore some of the best in Europe. Tignes has the best local riding and skiing of the two areas and also the most down to earth night life and resort life.

ski plagneSnowboarding La Plagne

La Plagne is a firm favourite for returning snowboarders. Again - it has been chosen by us for its suitability to all levels and its excellent snow record and snowboarding facilities.

All types of terrain will entertain all levels of rider. The high altitude status of La Plagne ensures great snow and lots of powder runs all season long.

ski les arcs

Snowboarding Les Arcs

And finally - Les Arcs. Now part of the excellent Paradiski - this resort is one of the 4th largest on France. Powder riding and piste riding is superb and as home to the Regis Roland A Boards team and many seasoned pro's - it is not hard to see why this is one of France's hottest snowboard destinations.

The resort is reasonably pretty and has very interesting tree ssnowboarding, long powder descents, wide slopes and guaranteed snow! The neighbouring Arcs 1950 - a Canadian style ski village, gives Arcs 2000 a very interesting and extra amount of variety whether it be on or off the hill!
