There is nothing like a local knowledge of any resort to really get the best out of the snow conditions and especially on a powder day! Mountain Guides are local professionals, (paid for option), and all are expert at their sport! They are there to orientate you around some of the best kept local secrets, ensure that you waste no time in finding the best terrain and orientate you around the lift system in double quick time.
The Guides we can recommend are local professionals and if you would like us to help you organise them, then please speak with your rep on arrival at our chalets or hotels.
Snowboard Hosting
A mountain Guide will provide a useful insight into the real resort that sits before you, quickly showing you around a network of trails that he or she has tried and tested before - so you waste no time skiing or boarding on low grade slopes! Guiding is not often available for novice skiers and boarders of less than 3 weeks.
Ski & Board Safety
When Snowboarding or Skiing : Be aware of riding with others of a mixed ability. Don't encourage fellow skiers to venture down slopes which may be beyond their ability or indeed Off Piste.
Guiding: Please let the professional Guide you. It is not recommended to follow an unqualified Guide. Guides can be arranged on arrival in resort.
Avalanche: After heavy snowfall and even periods without snow, any resort will be prone to avalanche risk. It is not wise to ignore local warnings and it would be prudent to enquire at the Tourist Office and with professionals as to which slopes are more at risk than others. Off Piste is always unadvisable, even for expert skiers. Do not attempt to ski runs which are closed with barriers or signage. Please realise that advise from our staff is unqualified and should not be relied upon.
Off Piste: Off Piste skiing is not advised. However if you must ski Off Piste, then do so with an appropriate and qualified Guide, and be aware that you will do so at your own risk.
