There is nothing like local knowledge of any resort to really get the best out of the snow conditions and especially on a powder day! Our Mountain Staff are expert at their sport and they are there to orientate you around some of the best kept local secrets, ensure that you waste no time in finding the best terrain and orientate you around the lift system in double quick time.
Their services are totally complimentary and free of charge to all our guests, however as a free service the availability it is not guaranteed. They are not Guides, but more ski or Snowboard "buddies" who will accompany you around resort. If you require a Guide then we would recommend you contract a professional from in resort.
Mountain hosting is a service we provide to enhance your holiday experience, and consists of a Ski or Board “Buddy” to accompany your group around the mountain. It is available for 1-2 days a week and is limited to numbers as well as a minimum and maximum group size. Please understand that it is not a Guiding Service and that it is a purely complimentary Hosting Service undertaken by your Resort Representative. It is free from charge and we therefore ask you to understand that it is not guaranteed in supply and must be pre-requested.
Hosting is not available for novice skiers of less than 4 weeks. Please remember that although our Hosts are accomplished Skiers and Snowboarders, they are not Guides or Instructors and therefore are not allowed to physically teach you in resort. They are also not allowed to Guide you around the mountain, or indeed show or recommend any Off Piste routes. Their knowledge is unqualified and must not be relied upon.
We would recommend that you contract a professional and accredited Resort Guide if you would like to get an insight into the true potential of your ski resort.
When Skiing : Be aware of skiing with others of a mixed ability. Do not encourage fellow skiers to venture down slopes which may be beyond their ability or indeed Off Piste.
Guiding: Please let the professional Guide you. It is not recommended to follow an unqualified Guide. Guides can be arranged on arrival in resort.
Avalanche: After heavy snowfall and even periods without snow, any resort will be prone to avalanche risk. It is not wise to ignore local warnings and it would be prudent to enquire at the Tourist Office and with professionals as to which slopes are more at risk than others. Off Piste is always unadvisable, even for expert skiers. Do not attempt to ski runs which are closed with barriers or signage. Please realise that advise from our staff is unqualified and should not be relied upon.
Off Piste: Off Piste skiing is not advised. However if you must ski Off Piste, then do so with an appropriate and qualified Guide, and be aware that you will do so at your own risk.
