Val Thorens is a high altitude snowboard resort, abundant with Ski in and Ski out accommodation and situated in the excellent 3 Valleys ski area. It is linked directly with Meribel and Courchevel. Val Thorens is the highest of all the 3 Valleys snowboard resorts and offers excellent snow and and extensive skiing for families and all abilities.

SNOWBOARDING - VAL THORENS

Snowboarding in Val Thorens is all about long summit to base descents and of course that magical three valleys mix - miles of quality terrain and high altitude powder descents!

The 3 Valleys has a huge 600kms of piste which offers all abilities a great deal of freeriding and will keep you entertained for days. Freestylers, (including the novice freestylers!), have 3 fun parks and a  "Boarder Cross" track on offer with banks and rollovers - which is great fun when racing your snowboarding campadres down the mountain! There are lots of fun little jumps and hand rails of all sizes so everyone can have a go.

BEGINNER BOARDING

Beginners will find excellent novice slopes all around the resort itself, which makes getting to ski or snowboard school very easy! There is a good variety of slopes to suit all levels and snowboarders will love the great snow that is characteristic of this high resort.

RESORT LIFE - VAL THORENS

Val Thorens has  very good selection of bars and apres ski to suit all tastes, as well as more up-for-it party life, late night bars and clubs. The resort has excellent restaurants and dining from cordon bleu to takeaway pizza joints. The shopping is less "boutiquey" and "nic-nac" but more geared towards useful ski and snowboard gear.
