Ski Chalets Sainte FoyOverview
Sainte Foy has just had new ski lifts put in to double the size of the ski area and open up a wealth of new blue and green runs on the western side of the mountain. The resort is one of the most exclusive ski resorts in France. Of all our resorts, Sainte Foy is really quite different, in fact it is a bit of a gem! If you know much about skiing then you will have read about the fantastic pistes and the virgin snow quality of Sainte Foy.... In fact most of the guests that we take to Sainte Foy each season, end up at the pool sainte foylocal estate agency looking for a second home at some point of their week!

Often referred to as the “Jewel in the Crown” Sainte Foy is surrounded by the world’s most famous resorts: Tignes, Les Arcs and Val D’Isere, which are all within a 15-20 minute drive away, and included on the standard ski pass for 2 days thus giving guests the ultimate in variety. There are about 150 hectares of slopes in Sainte Foy, and what there is, is excellent quality and totally crowd free. It's especially ideal for families.

Skiing in Sainte Foy
Sainte Foy is not a destination for bucket loads of ski holiday tourists because the resort only comprises of rather high end chalets (there are no hotels). The fact that there are no hotels or cheap lodgings, deters the larger Tour Operators and so the skiing and resort remains unspolit, crowd free and very exclusive.

Imagine skiing around a resort and not having to put up with ski schools, congested slopes, hordes of tourists and lift queues? Bliss! Well, here you can sit on the slopes in the peak of February and not see a soul pass you for minutes on end! This means that not only is it perfect for unhindered skiing and boarding, but the slopes stay in immaculate order. The Powder snow is also in good supply and hardly gets tracked at all!

There are 6 or 7 fast red runs and about 10 blue runs of which are very long (summit to base). There is also an extensive network of green runs which wind around the resort - offering beginners a wealth of opportunity to explore the mountain with easy skiing. There is also 3 separate nursery slopes for children with a free travelator (ski lift) for kids.*

Sainte Foy has some of best snow and quality descents you will find in France. Ask any Val D’Isere, Tignes or Les Arcs ski instructor - “Where do you ski or ride on your day off?” and they will undoubtedly say - “Sainte Foy”.

Snowboarding in Sainte Foy

Snowboarders will dream about going to Sainte Foy, purely for the Off Piste opportunities of La Monal and the surrounding area. There are lots of little fun jumps and cat-tracks to drop in the soft powder - so even the beginners are happy to have a go. You simply do not see resort piste maps nowadays with dedicated “Off Piste routes” marked out for you - except in Sainte Foy of course! This is a testament to the area’s serious attitude to its’ Off Piste potential. The simple fact is – Sainte Foy is paradise for powder!

Beginner Skiing in Sainte Foy

The beginners have great potential here due to the lack of crowds and the great network of easy runs that will have your confidence boosted from day one. You cannot get lost either because all intermediate and beginner runs lead back down to the same mountain base point. This is great for allowing the faster skiers and riders to go off and enjoy the odd fast run without losing much contact with their slower (or better) halves! There is even a free drag lift for the absolute beginners and a fantastic non-pressured atmosphere for families and novices to learn in.

The Resort of Sainte Foy

Sainte Foy is an elegant mountain resort with only a very few restaurants and a couple of lively bars. There is a pool and sauna that can be accessed in resort for a small cost. It is located in the resort, a short walk from the chalet. The resort has one of the most spectacular alpine views of the Tarantaise valley and some very pretty architecture with a great little community atmosphere where all visitors are made to feel especially welcome.

The Perfect Holiday?

Whilst deciding on a location for our first Premium program in 2002 we said to each other, “ What would make our ideal holiday?” The response was “No crowds, virgin snow and lots of variety” (with a great chalet of course!). And that is what we have created here.

The Snow Safari

There are 5 other "major league" resorts all within 15-20mins of Ste Foy: Val D’Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs, La Plagne and La Rosiere. They are all included for free on the standard £100 adult lift pass. This will potentially open you up to a huge ski area - and we can help arrange taxi transport from in resort on a paid basis during your stay.
