snowboarding in Meribel Overview

Meribel is located in the heart of the huge Trois Vallees ski area, which is one of the most premium ski areas in France and encompasses the “Super Resorts” of Courchevel, Val Thorens and Meribel itself. Meribel is a charming resort and certainly the prettiest of all the 3 valleys - where the après ski really buzzes!

Snow Surety

The 3 Valleys resorts reach a peak of 3200m which more than safely guarantee good snow all season round.

Snowboarding in Meribel

Snowboarding has very good roots in Meribel. The facilities for riders are superb and the park and pipe options (3 in total) are all very well groomed, easily accessed and include a variety of hips and jumps to suit all abilities.

The Freeriding is also very good in Meribel and riders are furnished with very good beginner conditions and excellent intermediate and advanced level terrain. A multitude of naturally featured terrain such as roll-overs, banks, cornices and excellent powder descents up at Val Thorens will entertain you for weeks on end!

Beginner snowboarding in Meribel

Beginners tend to meet and congregate around the main Chaudanne area in central Meribel. There are some very good beginner runs in the resort however, they do tend to be at the higher levels. This is a particular benefit because it takes the beginners higher up to the more snow-sure climes early on in the learning stages, and will help you really feel in the thick of the action that little bit more!

Meribel Resort

The après-ski in Meribel is very big business! With the large British contingent present in the resort, it also makes for some interesting nights out! The bars are quite varied and the restaurants will suit all tastes and appetites, there are two night clubs and the well known Dick's T Bar is a great place to start!
