With over 650kms of piste in the area, Les Gets is part of the largest ski and snowboard areas in the World, and offers a truly great destination for beginner or intermediate riders as well as family skiing holidays and groups of friends. The area spans over 12 separate ski stations and offers excellent skiing for all abilities leading over into Switzerland for unrivalled variety and miles of piste!
Les Gets has very good snowboard terrain for cruisers and Freeriders and of course some great facilities too. The Les Gets Snow park (photo on left) is very tame (compared to it’s big brother up at Avoriaz) which is ideal for most and especially suited to beginners with easier jumps and a very relaxed atmosphere. It is absolutely ideal for Snowboarders who are getting to grips with jumping and also progressing onto mid size jumps and trying their first rails.
Skiing in Les GetsLes Gets offer some very good skiing in pretty surroundings. It is suitable to all levels and has wide, well groomed slopes for cruising around on - which offer easy, effortless snowboarding and skiing.
The atmosphere for snowboarding lessons is very laid back and the easy network of slopes offers a confidence boost from day one. Couple that with an equally extensive network of blue runs to help progression, and very good snowboard schools and you have the perfect recipe for learners which is hard to find else where in the Alps.
The Après-Ski and nightlife in Les Gets is not as "party-hard" as Val d'sere but still offers a decent number of lively and very late night bars, a night club or two and some really good eateries: cafes, fine dining restaurants etc. The nightlife is more than ample for a week away!
Les Gets is a very pretty resort and has an open air ice rink and beautiful snow-lined streets for families and shoppers who like boutique style shopping.
