The perfect time
To come away with an independent tour operator is when you are getting to grips with the early stages of learning to board. We can provide a personal service, run from unintimidating chalets that should help create the ideal platform for beginners to learn our sport and for the intermediates to progress that little bit further. Our staff are all very sympathetic and passionate about their snow sports, afterall we all had to go through the learning curve ourselves a few years ago!

Learn in just 3 days!
We can arrange a 5 half day course of lessons to compliment your ability, most guests will be turning both ways after their 3rd day and venturing around much of the resort by the end of their first week. We even offer a learn to ski/ride guarantee - see below.

Pre Book
It is highly advisable to pre-book and pay for your Board Lessons (and Extras) far in advance if you want to save time in resort, get on the mountain faster and guarantee availability! Call 08700 111360 or email admin@alpineelements.co.uk with your order.

Lesson Programme
At Alpine Elements we are aware that the standard of ski or board tuition can have a big effect on your overall enjoyment of a holiday and this is just one area that we are making improvements for the coming winter. There are now many alternatives, not just in the package of lessons on offer, but also in the number of schools available in some resorts. You may either pre-book your lessons (ESF) with us as part of your package or go to the specialist supplier direct.

Pre-bookable 5 ½ day course of lessons ESF
We offer a set course of lessons (5 half days) with the ESF and you may book these directly with us by using our simple Level Chart (below) thereby using Alpine Elements as a one stop shop. Chamonix may be four ½ days.

Start times and duration - ESF
Lesson start times are subject to ongoing availability. We will operate morning lessons where possible (9am start). However in the case of limited supply, (and especially over peak dates), an afternoon lesson may be the only available choice. We will not know this until your arrival. Start times cannot be guaranteed, and promises cannot be made from the UK. Most lessons run for 2- 2½ hrs.

We only offer the lessons options detailed in this brochure. Lessons are 5 half days a week which is often the perfect standard to allow skiers and boarders the freedom to learn. Other options may be available directly from the supplier and you may even find that a 6 half day package for the same price is available in resort. However due to our Sunday changeover and our “One Package For All” policy, we can only offer this 5 day option. Please understand there will be no refunds available in this instance.

Children
Children’s ski clubs and gardens can be arranged with full or half day options and to include lunch if required. Please refer to our Child care section within this brochure.

Specialist Lessons
After careful consideration we are now in a position to be able to recommend smaller, specialist schools in selected resorts, who may offer smaller class sizes, refresher clinics or “freeride” programmes to suit your needs. With this in mind our reservations staff will, should you wish, pass your details on to the approriate school who will contact you directly. They will listen to your requirements and reccommend a package of lessons to suit you! Alternatively you may call the specialist supplier direct using the chart below.

Learn to Ski Ride Guarantee
We like to think that everyone should give Skiing and Snowboarding a real chance. Therefore if you promise to give it 3 full days and you choose still not to want to set foot on snow ever again with your new-found skills then we will give you a refund of £60 on any Lessons package bought for a full week. Claimants must notify the resort manager before 5.30pm on day 3 of their holiday, and then not attempt any more snow-sports for the remainder of their week, (including Snowboarding, Snow Shoeing or Cross Country Skiing). This refund will not apply to injury, equipment failure or any other problems which may be the cause for you to give up after 3 days. The only acceptable reason will be a complete dislike for snow sports!

Extras Conditions
One Package
The only lessons, lift pass and equipment hire options that we offer are those detailed within this brochure. We offer a standardised level of service in order to simplify our administrative procedures.

One Price
For administrative purposes, we offer a set price and package for our pre-booked Extras including Ski/board Hire, Lessons & Lift-passes. If you buy direct then the supplier may have special offers or charge a cheaper rate in resort. There are no refunds in this instance. We set our rates to be the same as our supplier’s public resort rate. This is done when their rates are first published. at an exchange rate of 1.40.

Cancellation - Special rules apply to the cancellation of extras such as pre-paid equipment hire, ski lessons & lift passes. Any cancellation of extras within 14 days of departure is subject to a 100% charge . Cancellation between 14 & 28 days pre-departure is subject to a 30% charge. Refunds are not available in respect of extras that are booked but not used.
