Tignes is open all year round, and even for summer skiing on the glacier which peaks at 3550m and offers powder descents in June and July! The Winter to Tignes is therefore "pas probleme" as they say!
All about Tignes
Tignes and Les Brevieres (the old part of Tignes) is a great summer or winter activity holiday destination, which has the best of both worlds: a stunning, quietly beautiful mountain setting, combined with access to the skiing, biking and nightlife of the main resort of Tignes above.
In the winter, Tignes, as part of the Espace Killy, is an unbeatable ski area with pistes for all abilities and extensive exciting back country terrain. Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret has a bustling après-ski scene, with many skiers and boarders partying throughout the night only to rise at 8am to do it all again! In the summer Tignes, and especially the hamlet of Les Brevieres, is a lot more peaceful, but there is still a lot to do, with mountain biking holidays and hiking trails, watersports and of course summer skiing on the Grand Mottes Glacier.
All about our chalets
Our chalets are in a stunning setting on the winding road about Les Brevieres centre, about five minutes from these local shops and bars. The view across the Brevieres lake to the other side of the valley is exceptional. In the winter, there is a chairlift which takes you straight into the main ski area. You can also ski back down into Brevieres at the end of the day.
