Bronze & Silver Chalets
Our Bronze and Silver chalets (as pictured) are simply good quality, comfortable ski chalets located within the finest ski resorts in the French Alps. They mostly enjoy central positions or ski in/ski out locations.
Every chalet comes with a personal level of service from chalet hosts who will ensure that your holiday runs smoothly. All our chalets are well equipped with non-essential but key items such as personal towels and bathroom products.
Gold Chalets
Each of our luxury ski chalets (Gold label) run the same basic programme of 3 course chalet catering as our Bronze and Silver chalets. However their label is earned by the fact they provide a better than average standard of ski accommodation and / or come equipped with more desirable facilities such as hot tub, pool and sauna. They still enjoy some of the best locations in the world’s finest ski resorts.
Shared Chalets
Our clients will join a shared chalet for social reasons, so the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly! Chalets provide an ideal environment for meeting new and likeminded people, and sharing interesting conversation around the dinner table or thrilling days on the mountain. Please check with our reservation staff which chalets are shared.
Private Chalets
If you want exclusive use of a chalet but cannot quite make up the bed numbers, then you may pay an empty bed supplement to gain sole occupancy. An empty bed supplement is £150 off brochure price.
General overview There is almost as much variety in the types of accommodation available in the French Alps as there is in the skiing itself. It’s not always easy to choose, so here’s our guide to help you find the perfect accommodation for your ski break:
1. Accommodation style and Board Basis
Catered chalet, catered club hotel, private French hotel or self catering apartment? The self catering option gives you freedom, but with all the great chalet deals around it does seem a shame to force yourself to cook after a long day’s skiing. A private French hotel can be a great option, but remember there may be language barriers when it comes to customer service. Once you have decided to go with a tour operator, choosing between a chalet and a club hotel can prove tough. A hotel will provide more privacy (locks on bedrooms doors, less pressure to socialise with other guests) and a few more facilities (a chef, public bar, perhaps a swimming pool or a sauna). However, a chalet is a great social experience and a real ‘home from home’ where you can meet like minded people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Club Hotel Examples: Hotel Christiania, Les Gets. Hotel Chamonix.
Chalet Examples: Chalet Well, Morzine. Les Chalets Des Neiges, Les Arcs
2. Accommodation Rating
To help you choose the most appropriate accommodation for your needs, we rate our chalets based on their relative standards of accommodation. The service is the same in all of our properties, but in a gold property you can expect a higher standard of accommodation, with some great selling points such as fantastic views, modern décor, lots of en-suite bathrooms or even a hot tub or a sauna. In a bronze property, you’ll be getting a great deal, and the accommodation will be clean and the staff welcoming. However, the accommodation itself is likely to be quite basic and simple. Perfect for those who come on holiday to tear up the slopes by day and the bars by night!
Gold Chalets: Josephine, Tignes, or Caroline, Tignes.and Chalet des Neiges - Monterosa
Silver Chalets: Nyon, Morzine. or Hannah La Plagne, and chalet des neiges les arcs
Bronze Chalets: Club Hotel Chamois, Les Gets. And chalets Martine and Marcelle, Meribel.
3. Your priorities
All of our properties have unique features, so to find the perfect place for you it is important to consider what is most important to you. For ultimate convenience, try a ski-to-door chalet or club hotel. If you like your nightlife, check out the distances to bars, restaurants and the town centre. For a tranquil and relaxing holiday, try a beautiful location in a traditional French village.
