If you’re learning to ski in either Morzine or Les Gets, you’ve come to the right place. The terrain in this area is perfectly suited to rapid progression, with gentle gradients and wide pistes. The beginners slopes and meeting points are extremely close to the town centre. The ski school we recommend is as highly regarded as the terrain, with an extremely professional outlook, and good English speaking instructors.

There are no free lifts in this area, so you will need to buy a lift pass to cover your stay: a local Gets or Morzine pass is likely to be the best option as you may not get the most out of a Portes du Soleil pass, at least until you feel confident to venture firther afield. For many beginners , the local pass area has more than enough variety and interesting features for the whole week!
The best beginner areas are located at the mid station of the Pleney lift. This is a great reassuring environment and it is where most instructors will take clients on their first day of lessons. You’ll get the benefit of great views over Morzine as you learn. Later on in your week, as you grow in confidence, take the Nyon Telepherique (located only 50m from our Chalet Nyon) to the Plateau de Nyon area, or head over to Les Gets on the ‘Crocus’ blue run, and explore the gentle runs around Chavanne.
