Ski La Rosiere

High altitude family skiing in the snow-sure, popular Tarantaise valley.

Situated half an hour from Bourg Sainte Maurice, Rosiere is a high altitude destination (resort level 1850m) which is perfect for family skiers, beginners or intermediates. 

The skiing stretches over into Italy giving you barrier-free skiing over two countries, and a spectacular ski area with panoramic views of the Tarantaise valley, Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.

The general skiing in Rosiere is suited to beginner and intermediate skiers. The runs have been beautifully laid with a course substrate so that they hold the snow exceptionally well. La Rosiere also has over 200 snow canons, (not that they are needed), but at least serve as extra peace of mind.

Networks of fast "Express chair lifts" link up the vast array of green and blue runs - making it easy for beginners and inters to explore the whole resort easily, and not be stuck to the lower slopes. Intermediates will find superb skiing and easy powder descents if they feel up to it!

Advanced skiers will find more challenging runs and further powder opportunities and Heli Skiing on the Italian side - which is only possible in a resort with an Italian link.

La Rosiere is a pretty resort with wooden chalet-style architecture and a plesant, friendly feel. Good ski shops and a mixture of bars, late night bars, cafes and restaurants make for a lovely atmosphere and plenty of happy skiers! All the resort amentities are situated close to our chalets and the ski lifts less than 200 metres away, thus offering the ideal convenience ski resort and family ski holidays set-up. 

Rosiere has many activities to offer - from husky sled rides, snow mobiling, torch lit descents, cinema, indoor climbing wall, a wellness centre and gym, not to mention several ski trips and events like heli skiing in neighbouring Italy and Sainte Foy.
