Chalet La Grange

Meribel
6 Rooms

A lovely 12 bed ski chalet with a comfy lounge. It’s almost ‘ski-back-to-door’ location makes chalet La Grange a popular choice.

The Chalet

This Premium ski chalet in Meribel-Chandon is a beautiful old barn conversion to which clients can ski back close to the chalet - a rare opportunity indeed for any Meribel ski chalet! The chalet enjoys sweeping views over the surrounding valley and sunny aspect balconies looking up into the mountains of Meribel.

Settle down after a day's skiing in front of a roaring log fire which creates the perfect skiing atmosphere in the chalets' large open plan living-cum-dining room with its deep and comfortable sofas, and magnificent views.

The bedrooms

Accommodating up to 12 people, you can expect six twin bedrooms, most of them are spacious and well equipped with built-in wardrobes and fully fitted en-suite bathrooms. Rooms 5 & 6 share a shower-room and wc, and completely occupy the top floor of the chalet for extra privacy. Two perfect rooms for families or friends.

Location

The chalet is situated in the pretty and tranquil village of Meribel-Chandon, just 10 minutes from Méribel centre, and therefore in a perfect position to offer a relaxing, yet convenient Meribel setting with all the benefits of a speedy connection to anywhere in the Three Valleys.

You can ski back to Meribel-Chandon, and within a very short walk or 300 metres or so of the chalet, (under normal snow conditions). This is via a pisted track suitable for intermediate skiers and boarders.

The free Meribel Resort Ski bus stops right outside the chalet for quick access into Meribel centre. The bus runs frequently and to start skiing guests can get off the bus at either Meribel Le Raffort (where the Olympic gondola take skiers and boarders to Le Chaudanne) or Meribel Village (where the Golf chair lift accesses the nursery areas).

Alternatively, after just 10 or so minutes the free bus arrives at Meribel Chaudanne the main hub with most ski lifts and lessons originate from.

Eat, drink and be skiing

A good day on the mountains starts with one very important meal. To kick off your day, we serve a daily breakfast with hot options on 3 days to set you up for all the snow you can handle.

Nothing beats a freshly-baked cake and afternoon tea when you get back in from the slopes in the afternoon and our delicious three-course meals with unlimited wine until dessert are served six nights a week, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants for staff's night off.

  • Continental breakfast (7 days) with hot options (3 days)
  • Afternoon tea, coffee & hot chocolate with freshly baked cakes (6 days)
  • Three course dinners & wine, unlimited until dessert, (6 nights)
  • Special celebration menus at Christmas & New Year

About Meribel

Meribel itself provides the perfect conditions for beginners and early intermediates to quickly improve their skiing, with a range of challenging and not so challenging descents.

The facilities for snowboard holidays are superb, with three snow park and pipe options in the Meribel sector alone.

There are many more very well maintained parks throughout the Trois Vallees, all easily accessible and feature a good variety of hips, slides and jumps to suit all abilities. There is also a border cross course for varying levels of potential snowboard racers!

Group Ski Savings

Get 'On the Snow' Faster With Us

If you pre-book your ski extras with us then our ‘On the Snow’ service will help you get started in resort. We can save you two very precious things - money and time - if you pre-book the holy trinity of ski passes, hire and lessons early with us. After all, the mountains are too much fun to waste time queuing for lift passes or traipsing around resort looking for the best deal for ski hire.

Once you arrive with us, our ‘On the Snow’ team of reps will collect pre-booked lift passes for you and deliver them to the breakfast table on your first morning. They will also do their best to fast-track you through the ski shops and get you on the mountain as quickly and easily as they possibly can.

Ski and Board Hire

Unless you own your own skis or board, then you’re going to need to rent some. Nowadays the standard of rental skis is very good and we only work with the best suppliers.

Lift Passes

We also recommend that you pre-book your lift pass through us as well. This way we can bring your lift pass to the breakfast table on your first morning before you head out.

Ski/Board Lessons

Again, we always recommend pre-booking lessons to guarantee availability. We can book you into group lessons for all levels of skier and boarder – beginner to expert.

Price Match Promise

If you do find a better price for your skis and board hire elsewhere, (so long as it’s the same quality), then let us know and we guarantee we will not only match it, but we’ll beat it too!
