The Hotel Chamois forms a great base for the budget conscious skier who wants a central location just moments from the slopes with great food and a lively atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a little more comfort, try our silver-rated Chalet Seigneurie or the Hotel Christiania, the latter featuring two hot tubs and an outside swimming pool - which, admittedly, might be a little cold in winter!

Les Gets Resort

Les Gets is a pretty resort in the heart of the ‘Portes de Soleil’ region, which makes a great destination in both summer and winter. In winter, the cruising blue and red pistes are a great place to develop your skills on skis or a snowboard. The ski area is the largest in France at an unbelievable 650km, and many of the areas are linked, forming great itineraries for a day out. For advanced riders, there is also the Burton-developed ‘Stash Park’ in Avoriaz: a snow park using natural features to create fantastic opportunities for both freeride and freestyle skiing and boarding.

In the evenings there is plenty to do in the lovely town centre. The Irish Bar is lively and shows all the sport, with cosy alcoves creating a nice atmosphere. At après-ski time you can sit outside and catch some rays. Bar Bush, owned by a local extreme skier, is always popular with locals, and if you want to keep the party going all night, there is the ‘Igloo’ nightclub, with cheesy tunes to satisfy your urge for a boogie!

There are also many quality restaurants in Les Gets, mainly offering traditional Savoyarde fare such as fondue, raclette and ‘hot rock’ or Pierrade. Le Tourbillon is a particular highlight, often frequented by our guests on chef’s night off.

Summer in Les Gets

In the summer, Les Gets is a mountain biker’s paradise, with purpose built trails for all levels of ability, as well as fantastic cross-country tracks. The resort is set up with mountain bikers in mind and has every facility you could possibly need to ensure a great activity holiday. In addition to the biking there are many other summer activities nearby for you to have a go at: rafting, canyoning, climbing and via ferrata to name but a few.
