Cheap Ski Breaks

Try a cheap ski break with Alpine Elements for ski weekends or weeks.

Many people believe that the key to a cheap ski break is to book last minute. Whilst it’s true that bargains do exist, you do risk losing your choice of accommodation and resort.

A better idea is to find a company charging a reasonable amount of money for your ski break in the first place. Alpine Elements offers cheap ski breaks to a number of top-class destinations, including Val d’Isere, Chamonix and Courchevel. There is really no need to pay more, and you can have a quality ski break for cheap prices.

Another way to create your dream bargain ski break is to choose a quality resort and go for some more basic accommodation. If the skiing is what is most important to you, what you need is a central location, tasty food and an excellent ski area. You won’t mind so much about slightly dated décor or a lack of extras that you probably won’t even use. We’d recommend trying the Hotel Chamois in Les Gets. The Portes du Soleil is a great ski area with absolutely tonnes of great skiing for all levels, on and off the piste. The Chamois is centrally located with bars and restaurants mere minutes away.

Further great choices for your cheap ski break are Chalet Lavachey and Chalet Triolet in Tignes Le Lac. Tignes Le Lac is the central village of Tignes, and in only one lift you can access the entire ski area, even skiing down to glamorous Val d’Isere. As you’ve saved your pennies on accommodation, you won’t mind spending money on a nice lunch before heading back over to sample some of Tignes’ legendary nightlife.

If you’re counting the cash, it might seem tempting to go self catering ski holidays or breaks. Whilst these can work, and cheap accommodation deals can be found - the food side of things can prove more expensive due to currency fluctuations, and prices in ski resort supermarkets are at an all time high.  We believe that it’s actually much more economical to go for a catered ski chalet holiday, and allow the company’s economies of scale to save you pounds. You’ll get a continental breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner included, as well as wine with your evening meal, which is a great deal: you might not even need to buy any other food!

We know times are tight for many right now, but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your ski break. You work hard all year, and with a bit of clever planning, that eagerly anticipated ski holiday doesn’t have to break the bank.
