Activities
All tastes and abilities are well entertained with activities to suit everybody. One major attraction is the ability to ski and board in the morning, before trying some other activities such as Golf, Rafting or Parapenting in the afternoon. Families are very well suited to the variety in Tignes; its family friendly atmosphere offers trampolining, swimming and sailing, to name but a few activities on offer.

Summer Skiing
summer skiing in tignesTignes is one of Europe's hottest "Super Resorts" for skiing also. It is a Glacial resort at a very high altitude which means that aside from it's immensely good biking, it is possible to ski and snowboard all summer long! There are 25 kms of ski trails open and we have even seen a foot of powder in June!

The biking
Tignes has adopted mountain biking as one of its major alpine activities and is providing a level of facilities and bike trails which are very mountain bike tignescomparable, if not better than some of the better known and longer established biking destinations in France.  Regular Bike Festivals attract visiting Pro’s and bike exhibitors with a chance to test-ride bikes on Tignes’ excellent trails.

Cross Country riders and Downhill enthusiasts are very well catered for with Enduro routes and man-made bike parks, as well as DH tracks for all levels of rider. Tignes offers “Easy-riding” routes for beginners and a vast network of trails to suit all tastes. The ski lifts allow bikers to cover many miles of terrain, including 10 full DH courses and a multitude of  trails for Freeriding heaven!

It gets even better
Tignes is also perfectly positioned for bikers who would like to visit the neighbouring resort Les Arcs during their stay which has legendary single track and some Avalanche Cup Downhill, thus furnishing bikers with the ultimate in variety for choice during their holiday. The ride down from the high altitude of Tignes to the Les Arcs funicular below is approx 30 miles of pure XC and natural Downhill thrills. We simply position the vehicles to run you back up to Tignes after a day hitting the trails and ski lift systems of Les Arcs.

Variety of Activities
Tignes is the obvious choice for either a pure biking holiday with maximum variety of bike terrain or for a more rounded activity holiday where it is possible to ski in the mornings and also try other activities not offered anywhere else in France to the same degree: 4WD driving, Quad bike adventures and expeditions, windsurfing, white water rafting to name but a few…

Resort life
Tignes Les Brevieres, where the chalet is located is a very pretty resort with a beautiful mountain lake and is situated under an imposing dam that sports the infamous and rather impressive mural of a "flying man" which has featured in some of the James Bond films. There are many good bars and restaurants and we can provide quick access up to the more hedonistic nightlife in Tignes centre.

1.Progression Tip
Tignes will nurture your XC skills and stamina and provide a short but good insight into the world’s leading glacial terrain.
2.Ideal Bike
The ideal bike is a lightweight freeride bike, 2 – 3 chain rings and 4 – 6 inch rear travel, disc brakes like our Santa Cruz Hecklers
3.Guiding
There will be 2 guiding groups for just 8 - 12 people a go and so the level of attention is quite high. This guide will offer a Bike Safari to Les Arcs to give riders the best variety of terrain possible during their week away yet still have the ability to concentrate on your chosen discipline be it XC or DH. All aspects of XC with DH sections, beginners are included.
