The Mountain Biking in Morzine and Les Gets is legendary, and it is still by far and away the biggest and the best bike and alpine resort in the alps! The resort plays host to many world class bike events and offers an excellent range of bike facilities and trails which are suited to all levels of rider. mountain biking les gets
1000kms of Bike Trails
The resort also boasts the largest area of bike trails and the biggest network of ski lifts open to bikers in Europe. As well as being a bit of a “mecca” for Down hillers with several man made DH courses featuring berms, banks, tunnels and jumps, this resort also appeals to the Cross Country bikers with a staggering 1000 kms + of bike trails comprising of Fire Roads and Singletrack riding. Again some of the best XC riding in the alps.

Vast Ski Lift network: The area has over 30 ski lifts open to bikers which opens up a massive variety of terrain and allows bikers to cover many miles of terrain into Switzerland and beyond.

If you want Downhill - then this area is steeped in DH history! Morzine and Les Gets have countless permanent man-made and natural courses with padded trees, berms, banked corners - jumps, drops and tunnels that put most other DH courses to shame!

If you want X-Country or Freeride - the area has 100's of kms of single track and fire road trails that wind through stunning alpine scenery, and are supported by a lift system that will enable you to cover many miles of diverse bike terrain over France and into Switzerland. Much of the terrain and our guiding programme will focus on single track Freeriding interspersed with shorter Downhill sections to keep the adrenaline pumping. All Levels of competency are very well provided for.

XC riding

The Portes du Soleil has a vast area open for bikers to get their teeth into and a great many ski lifts which allow bikers the opportunity for long day trips over into Switzerland. There is a massive amount on offer for all levels of rider, from stunning XC trails featuring hundreds of kilometres of Single Track and Fire roads through to the short but gnarly downhill sections that will push the progressive riders and keep their adrenaline pumping!

DH riding

Morzine and Les Gets have hosted the final round of the World Cup circuit - and this is for a reason: it is unquestionably one of the best facilitated resorts in the world for Downhill biking!

You can ride the many Downhill courses that make up the local area with purpose built banks, berms, drops and jumps which even have "easy routes" down for the beginners to experience the thrill of a real DH course. At the base of the DH runs, there is a free jet wash before you jump onto the gondola lifts again.

Beginners, intermediates and advanced

The vast amount of trails which make up the Portes du Soleil naturally mean that there is "something for everyone". The beginners even have "learner" DH courses to sink their teeth on, and the mass of DH tracks on offer grade upwards in terms of difficulty to the Avalanche Cup courses, so the experts are well entertained.

The XC trails are also particularly beginner friendly and of course we know a lot of technical trails for the advanced. The abundance of well linked trails ensure that the beginners can adventure far from home for a long day ride into Switzerland.

Resort life

Morzine is a very pretty and pleasant resort to stay in. Being quite a large mountain resort there is lots to offer and it is heavily accentuated with the right amount of British presence. Socially it is one of the most lively resorts in France for nightlife.

1.Progression Tip
