Riding the French Alps without a Guide is like driving a car at night without any lights: utterly pointless and very risky! You will miss out on so much of the natural and REAL bike terrain that is hidden from public view. You can certainly pick up a tourist's bike trail map from the resort - but why go to a place like this and not taste the real McCoy?

We can organise complimentary Guides from in the resort and you may either choose to make use of them or do your own thing. They are all expert riders who are there to help whatever level or ability you are. They can even give tips and advice to progress your riding. Please realise that our Guides are limited in supply, but guests can expect 2-3 days expert or professional Guiding a week.

Improve your riding skills

The guides we use are all expert and semi-professional or certified riders, all of whom will impart their technical skills and knowledge onto any of our guests, if you decide that you would like to really progress your riding skills. Riding the alps with a guide is crucial if you would like to gain a true insight into the real potential of any resort, benefit from a local knowledge and substantially improve your riding.

Beginners and intermediates are well catered for and guided rides can last for a half or full day. Each ride will be clearly described with a route, duration and level of difficulty. You simply select the rides which suit you, and we can organise a guiding group tailored to your needs.

Independent Riding

You are welcome to go and explore the local terrain yourself, but we would always advise that you ride with at least one other person and inform our staff of your intended route and ETA

Beginners and Intermediates

Our bike programme is designed for all levels of rider and our hosts can provide the perfect introduction to beginners or intermediates wanting to sink their teeth into some real bike trails.

Please Note
Since summer 2007 there have been local pressures for British Tour Operators to stop bike guiding in Morzine and Les Gets. Therefore our Guiding service may be affected, or simply scaled down from the programme detailed and implied within this site. However we will endeavor to run the programme as normal - giving guests at least 2 to 3 days guiding a week. Our complimentary guiding programme for our Morzine & Les Gets chalets will be taking place from Chatel in Switzerland which will require a 40 minute drive in our minibuses. Trailers are provided for bike transportation. If guests would like a more local guiding service in Morzine and Les Gets this will incur a fee of £20 a day to join a professional guiding group of 8. This is paid and arranged with our reps locally and restrictions may apply with numbers and availability.

Morzine/Les Gets
The Hotel Chamois in Les Gets is our Mtn Bike Centre and is the main base for our Guiding programme (and workshops). If guests from our other chalets would like Guiding, they will be asked to make their way up to the Chamois from our other chalets for a breakfast rendez-vous. More details will be given on arrival in resort by your rep.

Chamonix & Tignes
The Hotel Bdn (Chamonix) and all Tignes Chalets run Guiding as normal for 2-3 days a week.
