Méribel is located in the heart of the very famous Trois Vallées ski area; an expansive ski area which is among one of the largest in the world and encompasses the super-resorts of Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires.
Méribel is a charming resort and arguably the prettiest village in the Trois Vallées. The nightlife buzzes and the atmosphere is electric and brings skiers back every year!
Snow Sure slopes
The 3 Valleys resorts reach a peak of 3220m which more than safely guarantees snow all season long. The abundance of north facing slopes and high altitude pistes in the area will also assure skiers that they have chosen one of the leading resorts in France for snow guarantees.
Skiing & Snowboarding
The Trois Vallées has over 600 kms of slopes that will keep the Intermediate and advanced snow users furnished with plenty of options: from the steep and deep up at Val Thorens, or the fun and engaging runs within Méribel itself. Beginners and tentative intermediates may prefer the more leisurely runs of Courchevel 1650 which are set amongst beautiful trees and mountain scenery. Try also the famous 70km circuit that you can ski/ride in a day which spans over the whole 3 Valleys sector taking in a multitude of diverse terrain.
The area has a longer than average length to most of its slopes, which makes for miles of uninterupted skiing and boarding that extends over three of the finest valleys in the Alps. An experience that is almost un-matched by any other alpine resort.
Freestyle
Snow Parks and Halfpipes are very well catered for in the area which is what makes this a popular choice for snowboarders. The 3 Valleys are featured with some great natural terrain and a longer than average length to most of the slopes, so snowboarding and off piste riding is fantastic!
Beginners
There are some very good beginner runs in the resort but they do tend to be at the higher levels. This is not really a problem, if anything it takes the beginners high up to the more snowsure slopes early in their learning stages and helps them really feel in the thick of it a bit more!
Resort life:
Restaurants and resort service in Méribel is really quite special, with some wonderful eateries and exquisite cuisine both on and off the mountain.
Apres-Ski is also very big business in Méribel and with the large British contingent in the resort it does make for some interesting nights out! The bars are very varied and the restaurants will suit all appetites, there are night clubs and the well known Dick's T Bar is close to our catered chalets and a great place to start!
