Despite the European X Games Superpipe getting a thumbs up as one of the best there’s been, the Slopestyle course has been a different matter. Warm weather on Wednesday produced very slow snow, in fact the Men’s and Womens Ski Slopestyle riders missed the last jump altogether. With the forecast heavy snow on Thursday night arriving as anticipated, and leaving 9inches of freshies, there was a lot of work to be done by the park crew. The questionable snow conditions, and heavy fog left the final decision on whether to ride or not in the competitiors hands. After a vote it was decided to move cancel the elimintaion round and move straight to a two run final, which will now feature twenty four riders.
The Snowboard Slopestyle final will be run on Friday, weather permitting.
